From what I have been told, there were a few players on the team that liked him, but for the most part, he was considered an "outsider". He was not from the state of Texas, and I think he never really bonded.
Does this mean we can expect Christian Kirk, Speedy Noil, Qualen Cunningham, Donovan Wilson, and all of our other out-of-staters to leave soon?
He was an outsider because his personality did not match with a lot of the team. A lot of the players on our team played against each other in high school. Yes, there is more of a bond with these guys. Can you fit in if you are from out of state? Certainly, however, I think you are not as close to a lot of the players if you were from the state of Texas.

Also, would not be at all surprised to see Noil leave after the season is done. JMO.

I think there was generally more support for Kyler due to his Texas ties.
So if the 5 star QB isn't from Texas the team won't support them? Get over it team!

To me this is a pretty big indictment of Sumlin. Schools across the nation recruit kids from out of state and have no issue building a team as there are higher standards - do you thinks kids at Bama or Notre Dame care a lick about whether a teammate is from their hometown metro area?

You keep seeing these meltdowns . . .they certainly pre-date this season. Seems like the Swaggie/Players coach stuff has downside in terms of team cohesion. It was Mack Brown's undoing for sure.

And now let the character assassinations begin. Before the end of this year Kyle Allen will have killed Kennedy.

I don't think anyone is assassinating his character. But it was obvious his teammates didn't want him starting.
How is it obvious?

I don't know if they didn't want Allen starting but the fact that he did not thank his teammates in his departure statement tells me he did not have the best relationship with the team as a whole.

I understand not thanking the coaches. Spav is on his way out the door.He and Sumlin were not close and never quite clicked. Their relationship was nonexistent for the most part, other than situations where they had to interact.

Y'all realize all this is just made up **** based on what some idiots think they saw on TV, right? "I saw his body language", "his tweet was worded in a suspicious way".... So very ****ing stupid.

Why do you say that about Noil?

Because 100 different Uncle Rico beer-guts watched a tunnel entrance and a few sideline shots and jumped to conclusions?

KA is a highly touted QB who was starting QB for an SEC team, so he's likely going to be a bit of an arrogant guy.

But I'm betting that the fact that he grew up in Scottsdale takes his ******bag rating to a whole other level. Anybody from Texas who has spent any amount of time in that area can probably relate to what I'm talking about...

I know people,who attended.
I would imagine WHO was there (starters vs walk ons, true fish) would be telling. If NONE of his starting OL or WR's were there for example. Any insight into that? Or it would make a difference if it was 5 guys or like 20 guys. I know you can't reveal names, but sorry I got to fairly vet this claim.
Where is your Ag tag. What year did you graduate from TAMU?

Aside from the gimmick play against Alabama, and the cotton bowl game versus OU, where did Manziels ability carry the team?

Uh, Duke at Peach Bowl for starters

Unfortunately he couldn't be anywhere near as good as Manziel...where it counted

Manziel was a leader. KA was not.
Agree. If you look back at interviews with Manziel you heard him using we, the team, our guys, etc. When you saw Allen in interviews you heard him using I, me, etc.
