-The irony is its actually easier to be viewed as an elite player on defense despite being on a losing team. Look at Watt on the Texans...

-I agree that it's crazy that a qb like Tanny demands as high of a salad as he has despite not being on a team that's made a deep playoff run. I like Tanny, but it's nuts.

-He is a Fran player. Players of the Fran era do not look back at a&m as fondly as Sumlin's will or Sherman's for that matter. The program was in a toxic state during most of the Bennett's time here.

Yeah, Tannehill certainly didn't do anything wrong, and in a vacuum I'm definitely glad an Ag is getting paid.

However, it's not uncommon for markets to miss when valuing assets only to get corrected a few years down the road.

everyone suspected there were chemistry / locker room problems on the Ags' 2007 & 2008 squads...now we know

Tannehill's contract is "only" 4-yr $77MM.
