MB is not smart enough to realize the value of the quarterback compared to any other position and its effect on all player salaries. It's a quarterback driven league, and yes there are rules in place to protect them. They improve the product on the field, which in turn creates a more marketable product. Which generates interest and increases viewers, which causes a premium for commercial slots, T.V. contracts, etc... Which is a major contributor of how teams pay their players. All players' salaries are able to increase when the league is profitable.

Sportrac has it wrong. My link details it out. They can decide to walk away after 2016.

In all likelihood, he will get the money after 2017 because he'd have to really suck for them to let him walk.

He is clearly not happy that the organization is spending massive amount of money on only a handful of players. Seahawks have a policy to not renegotiate any contracts until there is just one year left remaining on the contract. The team has treated everyone equally in this regard.

He signed a 4 year deal LAST. ****ING. YEAR.

Aggies going to war..Pro athletes leaving early are not the same things.

Furthermore, I am pretty sure those aggies who left early had every chance to come back and finish I bet many did.
