Ill get flamed for this. But Reed is just a bad atomosphere for college basketball. Watch just about any of the other programs. For sure the better programs and you see the difference. We incorporate Aggie football traditions into basketball? It just doesn't fit. When I watch other games they are constantly doing or playing something that creates energy. Ours is nothing but" A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A", quiet... then some Aggie yells.

This is why aggie baseball will always be better. The atmosphere is unique and that makes it fun and there aren't any yell leaders. Basketball needs to find its own identity, regardless of wins.

It's simple:

The 6:00 starting times were too early. All of the "red-ass students" adjusted. Then, the 8:00 starting time was too late. So....

Yeah, the atmosphere at Reed is too bad. Did anybody else on here ever attend a game at G. Rollie? That place was essentially a barn, but when it was full of Ags, it had great atmosphere. That was when there were about 15,000 students, not 50,000. Of course, that was before Facebook and poor cell phone reception, etc.

Lol. The zoo as usual. I had a physics test at 7, finished at 8, and still made it over there to watch us BTHO LSU. How about you all stop complaining so much? I know how bad it's been; I've been to games the past two years. We are doing much better in terms of attendance. Better basketball = better fan turnout = better home atmosphere. You can't tell me that our students (excuse me, new army, which is a stupid term anyway) don't get just as loud down the stretch in big games as those other schools. Stop b***hing and just show up and support! It's not that hard!

They are MM bound. What more do you want? When we were ranked people complained about playing "ISU" and "UTEP" at home and still being half empty.

Throw out a number. You can do that. But my point is that I know it's not as good as it could be, but there is definitely improvement. Last year was sad compared to this year. Like I almost cried there were so many empty seats.

GR was a fun place to watch a game. Reed is too nice and too big. I totally agree. 6k were much louder at the holler house than a full reed.

I knew your number was right. Jeez. Your argument is falling in dear ears. I was at the game. No need to tell me how good/bad it was. I know how much better it can be. Consistently winning will help. That's all I'm saying.

Stop defending your classmates and start shaming them.

The teams that BCG courted at Reed brought a much better atmosphere. Why? Because those teams played a more exciting game. He brought out the best in the players that played for him. There's not nearly as many people that believe in this years team or BK as they did those past teams.

I've actually brought around ~10 different people to Reed by either telling them to come or piling them in my truck. No need to tell me what to do.

MT's pace killed the environment. Its that slow-ball Spur **** that puts people to sleep. The problem is we dont get 7 game series to eventually beat opponents, the tournament is single-elimination.
