It is the right call. Those types of hits leave players brain dead. A game isn't really worth that. Plus, regardless of how stupid you think the rule is, he was clearly in violation of it.

Relax guys. Defense is playing well. One bad PI call and although we may not like it, one legit targeting call. Yes, in the old days it was a clean hit but those are the rules today.

I don't know how Mathews hit helmet to helmet( maybe he did), I thought his shoulder hit under the receivers right arm but with the camera angles you can't really tell.
Run defense looking good so far. Need to get more pressure on the QB, get him rattled.

Don't lead high with your helmet or shoulder and there is no issue. Dumbass way to tackle and idiot play which keeps WV on field. And good Lord, get off the field. Stop whining coach. Teach tackling skills and get some f'n discipline on the team.

When you're hitting face to face, and you don't duck lower than the receivers head, it's going to be called. tough call but hard to argue with it.

Actually, the PI on Harris was a crap call. The ball was not catchable. However, the correct call should have been defensive holding when Harris grabbed his jersey prior to them getting their legs tangled up.
But, but brain damage. If you tools actually read the studies you would learn that collisions in the interior and particularly on the line line are the most dangerous. But you'll parrot what you hear and ppl are going to end up crippled.
That was clearly offsides by the D there.
