Honestly, they should just teach them to stop hitting hard.

I've been critical of Matthews but I think he got more of the WR shoulder than anything. Matthews even turns his head left.

It was obviously a stupid play, but the helmet to helmet was not that bad, he turned the shoulder. Any big hit across the middle will be a penalty these days. WR have no punishment across the middle ever again.

Good defensive coverage of Shorts to force him out of the side of the endzone. We have to keep up that kind of secondary work to win against the WVU passing game.
