Damn this is getting ridiculous. Get off liucci's back. For one thing, he's under pressure for 'scoop' when scoop is. NOT good for the program. The sooner we all learn to relax about it and debate our ideas maturely and understand that it is really analysis, mature debate, and non harmful information that makes a good tamu site, not 'scoop', the better off we will all be.

And for for the record, myself (and looch) included, TexAgs is always a venting mechanism for people, but wow, it is ugly these days and we should all pretend that our grandmothers and young daughters are going read our posts, and take a deep breath before hitting 'submit'.

Rules of business didn't change either. Looch you shouldn't be arguing with customers. There are some valid complaints in there. You run a great product but there is always room for improvement if you'll listen.

No one has ever been banned by me for disagreeing. Biggest myth out there but I can't convince you otherwise because your mind is clearly made up despite the fact that you are completely wrong in your assumption. It's all about being a respectful guest in the forums...especially premium.


I'm one of those paying customers I was referencing, and your response to me is one of those thin-skinned, petulant responses other people were referencing. Try this:

I'm sorry you are unhappy with the product I am marketing. While I attempt to provide good service to everyone, please understand that I take my job seriously and I take jabs at my professionalism personally.

That's how an adult "business owner" would respond to hundreds of his customers all saying the same thing

Use the Lean/Six Sigma approach. Before firing off at your customers just so you can get the last word, ask yourself, "Does this add value to my customers and therefore my business?" If the answer is no (it is), then just don't type that angry response
You really seem like that guy who honestly believes he has it all figured out and everyone else's approach is wrong. No one likes that guy. No one likes listening to his 'I'm going to tell you how it's done because I'm the smartest guy in the room' brag disguised as helpful advice.

I'm not perfect. Don't pretend to be. Never have. Never will. I also obviously don't subscribe to the Lean/Six Sigma approach. Perfection is tough to achieve and I'm clearly not nearly as business savvy as you are. I'm pretty sure this Six Sigma thing doesn't account for customers like the dysfunctional family we have here. I'm confident in saying this is uncharted territory for the experts doling out the advice and formulas that you've built your 'adult business' upon.

Keep fighting the good fight, maybe one day you'll change me and I'll go to one of your leadership workshops or subscribe to one of your theories and implement it in the workplace.

Until then, thank you for your advice and Merry Christmas! For your present, I'm giving you the above response so you can reply with a big old "I told you so" or "This is exactly what I'm talking about."

Sorry, I'm not going to sit here and have you try to explain to me why I'm not acting 'adult' enough for you on this site and how I need to run my business without responding and, like you seem to have no problem with, letting you know exactly what I think.

Billy, I knew you when you were jumping inside of the football player's jocks while living at the University Tower. Your response was uncalled for and pathetic. The six sigma approach can be adapted to ant business model. Why not educate yourself on this? Also, you don't fight dysfunction with more dysfunction, you fight it with rational thought and responses or by ignoring the demands of the "child" acting childish (not childlike). I'm sure the holiday stress is getting to you. Why not take some time to relax and calm down?

My main experience with Six Sigma mostly buried a Tech company out of business. The approach took otherwise productive people who contributed to the success of developing the path forward and put them in positions of judgment and authority with no real contribution.

Once in effect, all productivity ground to a halt and everyone else went into a preservation protectionist mode.

For manufacturing, I'm sure Six Sigma has a place... in technology?! I'm not convinced it is helpful. I am convinced it is a good path for ruin in Technology.
