Ok rant NOT over.

Then quit paying and don't get on the site. If you don't see value for your money, then turn it off, but for god sakes take your bleeding vaginas elsewhere, this is getting stupid.

He reports what little nuggets he can get. Some pan out, some don't, but he isn't making this crap up himself. if you compare the cautiousness that is used on this site compared to the crap that comes out on some of the other sites where they throw as much random crap on the wall to see what sticks, then you would see it. Again no one is making you come here.

I am just fundamentally against paying for information it screams aristocracy. Only the rich shall be able to read slaves shall be uneducated to keep them in their place etc. I don't have a problem with Looch making a buck off of impatient people that want info ASAP, but I think premium info and articles should turn non premium after a week so we can all read Liucci's Pulitzer level journalism.

Probably not, in the grand scheme of things, we get nuggets faster and don't have to do deal with as much BS and calling out of posters for having an opinion on something (although since it has been made free to students it has become a bit more like zoo 2.0) but I don't pay for the "early release of top secret intel." I pay for the additional articles and interviews and the extra emoticons and to give back.

I still stand by my comment though no one makes you come here and the fact that it is free and he puts a lot of his own time, effort, and money to provide this site for us even if we don't pay and people rail off on him pisses me off. Come on folks have some damn respect. The man is not a wizard, but he doesn't just make crap up. Sources come from all angles, sometimes stuff pans out, sometimes it doesn't. He has a closer in to what is going on than anyone else on this damn board. How many can say they have met KDS, much less interview him once a week??? Some of the sources don't do anything different than the pages of crap that we put out as a collective group except when he finds people that feed him ****, he probably doesn't go back for more later. We however will continue to listen to it over and over from the same idiots on this board that don't know jack **** except what they heard their drunk uncle who is trying to big dick everyone at the table say at thanksgiving because he donates like $500 a year to the TMf and "knows a guy" that is a "REALLY BIG TIME MONEY DONOR" that he met at a bar or hunting lease one time and now they talk Aggie Football when they run into each other.

Jesus us it is really starting to piss me off how ungrateful some of you *****s can be.

Rant over Helms out!

Actually some of us do care. You are the one bashing a guy in his own friggin house man!!! Don't you get that? Guy invites you over for a free Thanksgiving dinner and you tell him his turkey is too dry, dressing sucks, ***** about the cranberry sauce being from a can, comment that his wife should lay off the sweets "cause she is getting a bit plump" and then tell him you aren't going to stay after unless he puts what YOU want to watch on his damn TV.

1. I don't know what the hell you're even saying
2. I never said anything bad about the guy in this thread. You're mad at the wrong person
3. In that scenario, I'd probably take the cranberry sauce, dressing, and the plump wife into the bedroom and GET FREAKY!!!!!

Plain to see that the loss of a few recruits and the pace of the DC search/hire process has a lot of folks on edge. I'll commend Looch for being patient with some of these folks taking shots at him. A rational person can see that this whole deal has worn on everyone.

Its the Holidays. Maybe a good time to take a break from TA and focus on something else for some of yall.

to my fellow Marine:

it's not so much that he doesnt always report things on time or accurately. it's the nature of the business, and i understand and have no problem with that. the issue that i (and many others) have, is that when he completely whiffs on a prediction, instead of coming out and admitting he was wrong, he often invokes what has come to be known as "looch speak" (i.e. "as i've said all along" or "i've said many times" or "as predicted", etc), and then chastises his customers for questioning him. most recently, regarding the DC search, he came out and made some strong, definitive statements as i referenced above. instead of just coming out and saying "gee guys, i punted this one into the stands", he played his same ol looch speak game. chastising customers, thread deletions, and bans all around. he does so in the name of "protecting the brand" but what he's really doing is being overly defensive and thin skinned. it's old.

i have zero problem with liucci, but i just got tired of paying for the same ol same ol. all the multitude of "BOOM HEADSHOT" and "LOOCH WITH THE BANHAMMER" fanboy posts were just the icing on the cake.

so, fair winds and following seas to the premium board.

Question
George Washington struggled to win battles in New York in 1776. What steps were taken in order to have him removed as Commander-in-Chief and who were behind the actions to get him removed?

Answer
You might not think that the father of our country had any detractors, but he did, especially in the wake of so many military setbacksnot only in New York, but later in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Starting with the Battle of Long Island in August 1776, British General William Howe drove the Continental Army back to Brooklyn Heights. Though told by Congress to hold the city, Washington decided he had to abandon New York. He then lost at Harlem Heights, suffered defeat at White Plains, lost Fort Washington along with 3,000 prisoners, and shortly after evacuated Fort Lee.Luckily, Howe's attention to Fort Washington gave the Continental Army a chance to escape across the Hudson and into New Jersey. But Washington's struggles continued. At the end of 1776, General Charles Lee lost 4000 Americans covering Washington's retreat through New Jersey. In December Congress abandoned Philadelphia for Baltimore. Fortune favored Washington again when Howe went into winter quarters. His army capitalized, striking hard on Christmas night, crossing the Delaware River, raiding Trenton and capturing 1000 Hessians along with arms and ammunition. In January, Washington's men defeated British reinforcements at Princeton before escaping to Morristown, NJ. Though Washington and his army showed pluck and resilience, such triumphs were pretty rare. His army was again defeated at Brandywine in September 1777 and later that month, General Howe occupied Philadelphia. In early October, Washington lost at Germantown. By contrast, just a few weeks later, General Horatio Gates shocked the world by defeating General Burgoyne at Saratoga on the Hudson River. With Gates's star on the ascent, some wondered whether Washington was the right man to fill the role of Commander-in-Chief. Though no formal steps ever took place, by the end of 1777 there was a "whispering campaign" underway to have Washington removed a movement that historian Joseph Ellis suggests was probably "simmering beneath the surface ever since the debacle at Fort Washington." Even the officers and soldiers who served under [Gates] in the northern army, would not willingly yield their attachment to their beloved Washington, in whose wisdom and judgment they repose such unbounded confidence. One of the central figures in the matter was Brigadier General Thomas Conway, an ambitious Irishman who left the French Army to join the Continental Army, making the anti-Washington movement commonly referred to as the "Conway Cabal." Conway actively lobbied Congress for a promotion that Washington virulently opposed in a letter to fellow Virginian and Congressman Richard Henry Lee. When Conway caught wind of this slight, he dashed off some pointed criticisms of Washington to Gates. Conway's dislike for Washington attracted a loose "coterie of grumblers," including Gates himself, Brigadier General Thomas Mifflin, General Charles Lee, and Congressional figures such as John Adams, Samuel Adams, Benjamin Rush, and Richard Henry Lee. A gossip network through private correspondence might have remained the extent of the "coterie of grumblers'" influence, except that Washington, ever sensitive to the sanctity of his reputation, had his own network of loyal informants who had a keen ear for loose talk. Washington supporter General William Alexander reported that Gates's aide General James Wilkinson, had drunkenly divulged the contents of anti-Washington correspondence between Conway and Gates, including this remark by Conway: "Heaven has been determined to save your Country; or a weak General and bad Counselors would have ruined it." When Washington penned a terse note to Gates, he openly challenged him by sending a copy of his correspondence to Congress. This skillful tactic deferred the matter to his civilian masters, while placing the matter in the public sphere, where direct criticism of Washington was still almost sacrilegious. It is most unfortunate that Congress appears to be split into factions at this eventful period, when the salvation of our country depends on the harmony and unanimity in our counsels." - Journal Entry James Thatcher, Surgeon Washington's ArmyWashington survived the challenge to his leadership, and some of his most ardent supporters, such as Major General Nathanael Greene, the Marquis de Lafayette, and Alexander Hamilton, went on to distinguish themselves throughout the war. Washington's two most prominent critics fared less well. Though Conway eventually got his promotion and subsequent assignment as Inspector General, Washington marginalized him when he reported for duty at Valley Forge. Later, a number of general officers petitioned Congress, protesting Conway's promotion. Conway was further discredited after a fellow officer questioned his courage at Germantown. After challenging his accuser to a duel, Conway was shot in the mouth. Thinking he was dying, Conway wrote a letter of apology to General Washington, but he survived his wounds and eventually returned to France. Gates was never able to hold on to the stature he gained at Saratoga, and in 1780 found himself fleeing with his militia at the Battle of Camden, SC in 1780.

Never. Ever. No news has ever been broken on TA premium. Nothing on coaching searches (basketball or football), nothing on realignment, nothing on players turning pro, nothing on recruiting commitments or offers. Just a whole lot of nothing. You nailed it! Congrats.
Clearly this is what happens when you mess with the, by all indications, and with respect to the site, not discounting the inherent moderating ability that comes with being part of the managing hierarchy, top dog of TexAgs. Looch gives you guys plenty of rope to take pop shots at him all day long and trash his product, clearly at risk to his own reputation, the reputation of TexAgs, and to a certain level and with respect to other sites, the reputation of the Internet in general, limited to include message boards like this. I talked to some folks that said there was a 30% chance that he would start banning this kind of behavior, but that it had been only 20% during the Fran era, and that it might not stay at 30% for long and that it should start happening within the month but it might take longer. You guys should be thankful that he has such a good sense of humor, because you have no idea what really happens in here and you are all idiots for taking something for free and mocking it and the person that gives us the scoop. I support Looch. (he did nail the M&M call the night before it happened FWIW)

Helms, you're a 100% correct, but no need to argue with the kids on this thread. Hopefully they'll mature at some point and lose the sense of entitlement, but probably not. They sound like the same ones complaining that welfare went down for nine hours and they couldn't feed their six kids from five different dads because they had just enough to buy their Parliament's and a Forty.

I don't pay, but I'm certainly not going to complain about people who do, nor what they pay for.

Jesus it is like the bum on the corner that you offer free food from McDonalds and he has the balls to say "well I would rather have some money so I can go and get what I want"

At some point he is going to go on a straight postal level killing spree on TexAgs posters and I can't say I would blame him. I certainly wouldn't put up with that ish in my house.

Serious question- is there something that you or the rest of premium know that the zoo doesn't? Doubtful.
Probably quite a bit, but even more so than that....

I see a lot of extra player and coaching interviews, along with former players and recruits. To me, it's well worth it just for those. Then you get extra practice reports, different perspective and takes on the team, some x's and o's from former coaches/players, team news, etc. Plus you post on a board that quite frankly has a higher quality of material/posters. Sure, some of that may come off as arrogance, but from someone who's been a part of both boards, it isn't even close.

Anyone who thinks some of us are paying just to have recruiting information a half hour earlier are ignorant to what really makes it worth it.

Don't pay anymore (on any Ag site for so-called inside info.)....been a long time since doing that....as just not worth it once one realizes 'it doesn't matter if info. rec'd later is the same info.' AND there's no control over any of it on this board (nor any other).

If Looch & team work hard to get 'scoop' earlier, it's fine if some want to pay to be 'informed' hours before the masses (on info. that can be interesting/entertaining since Aggie related, but really not info. that's valuable in one's life).

Just like everyone who has demanded a DC be named by now (absurd) or upset over Malik&Mack.....crazy talk on so many levels and typically by a 'kid' on this site. A solid DC won't be avail. until bowl season is done, Malik was NEVER fully maroon (due to family pressure) and Mack has been wavering for a very long time (not just do to our Def perf, but because LSU and TCU got in his head too). The recruits are kids and the zoo (and paid forum) has no influence over them (well, other than the negativity and name calling that can potentially hurt any chance our coaching staff may have in 'recruiting' them back).

I know, I know....instant gratification society amongst the masses now, but it's so very shallow and concerning.

No one has realized all the free entertainment as everyone has been enthralled with coaching 'shadows' during a relatively dead time of the year. Surprisingly has been very little 'football' discussion regarding a game less than a week away.

I pay my little 10 bucks a month and realize that I get nothing more than another forum to read, some extra articles, a few interviews and some extra emoticons that come in handy for posts like this.

i don't expect some top secret hand shake and a nice club jacket. Let's all be real honest here, 10 seconds after something comes out on Premium it is here for the rest of the world.

I like just just being able to read it myself instead of hearing snippets and summaries.
