So am I, '66, however, I cannot understand why consol and TAMU are so determined to wear other colors besides maroon and white that look entirely hideous. If they are so ashamed of maroon and white then change the damned colors and get something more to their liking. I really like what Belton has done with their unis since I graduated. The ones we wore were stupid.

Pre-1990 Baytown Lee Ganders

Before uniforms and equipment got all new age. Both my parents grew up in Baytown and my first memories of football were in the late 1980s going to watch Baytown Lee play with my dad and grandpa.

Those were the good old days when HS football was raw and pure.

oklacityag75, I'm SGHS c/o 2002. My dad was c/o 81 and I've had a TON of family go through SGHS. That school is so run down now.

I thing Rogers jerseys look good, and yes I went there so I'm kinda bias. Oh well, pretty clean in my opinion

A few things in my life I'm ashamed of, school color ain't one of them. Consol '78, Ag '82. Now get off my lawn and this ball is mine now.

I like Grapevine the best. San Antonio Johnson wasn't on it but they have to be the worst hands down.

Just based on the pictures I see here. OP is way biased and if someone brings up a good point he simply says "I started the thread." Southlake may have one of the best football programs but their unis are just blah. Allen looks cool, and the Plano school but A&M Consol wins in my opinion.

Having said that arguing about high school football uniforms is pretty lame.

Can't find a picture that isn't copyrighted but Palestine's uniforms are almost a spitting image of A&M's. Stripes across the shoulders, undershirts with stripes down the sleeve, the numbers are even beveled.

In 1996 or 1997, Llano High School went "back in black". It was an extremely simple look with all black (jerseys, helmets, shoes, pants...everything) and block white numbers (I don't think we even had any stripes). We didn't use any of our orange secondary color. The only switch we made for away was to a white jersey with black numbers.

It was quite intimidating against all of the "fancy" purple and green opponent jerseys with stripes, rounded letters, and stickers on the helmets.
