Someone had to pay for this place to not be named Kyle Field at Exxon Stadium. That's what suites are for.

Why all the entry/exit portals on the lower west side and none on the lower east side? Seems a contingency plan for rapid evacuation would require portals on the east side. JMO.

Because you access the seats from there...

On the east side, under the first deck is the "back of house" area of the stadium and the athletics offices. On the west side, there is club space and concessions at ground level.

Even the entry ways of the west side's 4th deck are not symmetric...at least it appears as if they skipped one towards the SW corner...

Also that NW corner seating is sure going to look interesting...(pssssst...and NOT symmetric, either...shhhh don't tell anyone!)

Dr. Jessup actually still teaches some skiing classes. Well, at least he did when I took one about 4 semesters ago. He has a bunch of interesting stories that he'd tell us as we were putting on our skis before and then taking them off after. I remember something about either him or his son (who did track at Princeton, I think) sneaking into this room of world leaders at one of the Olympics. One time it started raining really hard right after class finished, and I had to bike back to the Commons from Mt. Aggie (west campus). Dr. Jessup saw me starting to ride my bike and told me to put it in the back of his truck and get in. He took me back to the Commons while telling me some story about how when he was a student at A&M, the people with lower grades would get drafted into the army, for what I assume was the Vietnam War. Anyways, he's a really cool guy and I'm glad I took that class! Pretty cool that he was the founder of the whole thing and he's still involved with it.

For two summers I worked on old Mt. Aggie. We would pull up the rotting boards from the hill and replace them. Quite a few years later I took the Skiiing class from A&M and was able to use the new hill. Have to say I enjoyed the new hill better but if you bust your ass, better bring a change of clothes.

TLDR: Old man discusses old stuff, who cares.

I was in Las Colinas this weekend and drove by the Irving Convention Center. They used perforated steel to create and interesting effect to hide the steel work. Any chance this would work on the SEZ?

I dunno but I like the Maroon color choice. Whoop!

It's actually more of a rusty brown in person.

They used Metal as a Screen for the Tobin Center in San Antonio.

Metal screens can get really spendy.
