If you will notice the upper structure of the north end zone is exposed above the north brick facade, but it is all concrete and perhaps a smoother visual.

I have seen renderings of a partial brick facade at the south end zone, up to just below where the structure angles up and back over the existing structures, but do not know if or when it will be done.

There will be no angled (having a horizontal component) facade at either the north or south ends. Such a facade would be subject to gravity load away from the supports, which is not ideal safety for a facade.

These are exciting times for A&M football and the school in general.

I don't see it ever getting bricked, but if that were to happen then each of the steel columns can be encased (same as the west side facade) and horizontal precast facade elements can be hung off of the three levels. It's only a function of placing the panels around the cantilevered supports - similar cutouts are visible in areas where the SEZ connects with the SE activation tower.

I think the cotton bowl steel mesh curtain is the best idea personally, but it looks fine the way it is right now. The contrast is only something that's noticed in pictures that are framed to call it out.

nitpicking would imply something small. 25% of the stadium having it's ass exposed is not something small.

Pay the tens (hundreds?) of millions of $$ it would cost to demolish the ass-end of Bright and reconstruct it elsewhere, which would allow ample room to put a brick facade on the back of the south endzone... Then feel free to ***** when it doesn't get done....

True story. When I was in high school and visited the A&M campus with my parents, we parked in the open-surface visitor's parking lot by the "park' that is now a parking garage. A beady-eyed guy walked up to a Maroon-colored Mercedes, got in, and drove off.

"Do you know who that was?", my father asked. "That was Jackie Sherrill."

"Who's Jackie Sherrill?", I replied.

Obviously they don't remember when bricks were falling off the library and there was a tunnel constructed so we could get to the front doors.

But it is interesting. Why would they do that? Is it because they don't have permission?

I think it just happens automatically anytime it recognizes that a face is in the shot. I've never seen it do it to a picture of a face though!

They've made a lot of progress the last couple of days. All the supports for the canopy are in place, and all of the lower third deck concrete is in place. I assume they'll start filling in the upper portion (just about a fourth deck, really) very soon.

Anybody notice that you hardly ever see them doing anything on the live cameras yet you see marked progress from day to day?

Met one of the "gate guards" today. He confirmed it will be done on time.

It's funny that we can see construction updates on Kyle Field on Google Maps, yet Baylor's stadium still shows half a foundation when they've been done for almost a year. Hell, they've updated the imagery on one of our job site's in the middle of bfe more recently than downtown waco and that ****hole of a stadium.
