I have a couple of assumptions about why we paint the goal lines a different color, but never heard an official reason. Good question.
Penn State does yellow goal lines as well. Probably unnecessary but it is a visual aid to both officials and players.

Talking about someplace where the cannon could be placed, inside the stadium.. Thereis some sort of structure on the top of the SE "Activation Tower" (probably storage).. Could this be reinforced to support the cannon, and fire it from there?
We're ready to go. And yes, I did feel the need to walk right through the center of the plaza. And no those new trash cans are not maroon
I personally don't care about the cannon.... But Here's my idea... Get one of those small ones like all pro stadiums have, shoot it off when we score and such.... Have the old ones set up outside so people can ogle over them for some reason... He'll even put a smoke machine inside them whenever the little one is fired, the big ones smoke... Problems solved...

It's not like the 105 ismuch louder than the music the frats play. And why are we worrying about people in Spence anyway? Shouldn't they be inside watching the game when the cannon is being fired?

Anyone know if they stuck with the idea to use the likeness of students or if they scrapped that idea? I know the yell leader was supposed to be after someone, but the sculptor (different than war hymn) decided to just do a general one
In his interview he said that the statue is not about their faces, because then it becomes a monument to them, and that's not what it's about... Check out his Facebook page, tons of info about the statue. Sounds like he's been working in it for a year and didn't think he'd finish in time.

How is it that some of the pics posted on here are selectable and enlarging in a lightbox type window?
They're automatically resized to fit the forum now. You can select them for larger images. Smaller images that aren't sized down aren't selectable to be sized up.
