Do Bama have a board? If so, this needs to be posted on there since they are too lazy to come over here to argue.

Strange that our Bama visitors haven't weighed in on this thread.

quote:"The continuous toe-heel touching is part of a single process and by interpretation he has landed out of bounds, thus not executing a catch." This last part in the ruling is where that interpretation comes from. When his left toe came down first, that established his left foot as the first part of him down. Because the heel-toe touching is considered a single process, it's the same as if his whole foot came down at once.
I understand what your saying BQ, but what is your basis for this interpretation? I did not necessarily get this from the cited rule.It seems from the cited rule you could interpret it that if the right heel tapped the ground before any part of the left foot is out of bounds, then it should be ruled a catch. The heal tap should be the same as a toe tap or drag.
quote:Do you have a video of the play(s) you're talking about? I'm by no means an expert, but I can offer my opinion on it. But one of the things you have to realize is that DPI are the two biggest judgement calls in all of football. Everybody has their own opinion on every play. Also, most situations have 1, sometimes 2 officials looking at it, where as TV can get many more angles on a single play. Sometimes things just get missed.
Since we are talking about officials rulings, can someone please explain to me how Fulton tackling Evans in the endzone before the ball arrives was not pass interference, not too mention how he holds him when he runs the route too? This was a 3rd down right before we missed the fieldgoal. Fulton got away with murder all game...

BQ, not only have you pwnd me once, but you have pwnd me again. Much respect to you, good sir.

Saban had you figured out after the first quarter last game, though it was too late.

We will run the ball straight up your ass all game long. Johnny will be watching from the bench most of the game.

Eddie, take it a step further. If A.J. wasn't playing with busted ribs he probably would't have thrown either of the interceptions. Since he had busted ribs, they should have been calling running plays anyway. Ball control would have kept A & M's offense on the sidelines which is what will happen this year.

"Agree. Let's not forget it took EVERYTHING going right for aTm and EVERYTHING going wrong for Bama in order for them to beat us. If we just play our game (IE run the ball, stop the run, win the turnover battle), there is no team that can go toe-to-toe with us."
