Did we really dislocate both of Ty Detmers shoulders in the 1990 Holiday Bowl?

What an awesome game to watch. I remember Robert Wilson just crushing LBs and DBs so Darren Lewis could run. William Tomas played like a wild man.

Plus the next day was the icing on the cake: Miami 46 Sips 3

You and me both brother!

Can't believe that something I witnessed while at A&M is now part of "Aggie Lore." Anyone who says he didn't dislocate both arms is either lying to you or does not know what they are talking about.

I still pull that game tape out from time to time and watch it, just to cheer myself up!

After that day I had no respect for Lavell Edwards. Goes into the game showing his opponent no respect, goes out of the game whining about his arse being handed to him.

AND -- to top it all off, the game ended up being played during the opening credits of that great example of American cinematic excellence, The Last Boy Scout! Now THAT'S immortality baby!

greggm is right. I lost all respect for L. Edwards that night.

He spent all his seasons running up scores on weak opponents so his QB's could win the Heisman and get BYU respect- passing with starting QB well into 4th Qs.

Then we run it up on him and he pouts like a 4 yr old. What comes around....

My bad- you're prolly right- my memory has gone to hell since we had our third child.

Still- imaginative use of both qb's making it even harder to cover b/c of Bucky's innate athletic ability on the field- inspired!
