He has lots of ink and I don't know what his hair is supposed to be, so that must mean he's good at athletics.

People can say what they want, but visible tatts are a bad idea unless you're a professional athlete, musician, bad-boy/girl actor/actress, etc.

Whew. Good thing Sumlin didn't bring him aboard to work the front office of the Bright Complex.

way to judge a book by its cover.. then again i wouldnt expect anything less from someone without an agtag (grey or maroon)

Its a dick-move to bash a fellow Aggie who will most likely become a leader in the locker room in the coming years just because he has a different haircut and some tattoos.

Judging people because of visible tattoos has got to be one of the most outdated practices. It's a sore spot with me because still have to deal with it on occasion but we have got to be better. The ink on his skin or hair style does not determine the character, work ethic, or heart of a kid. Its what he does in the locker room, in the class room, and on the field that will show us what kind of player we really got.

HS coaches talk highly of him. He seems like a kid who will work hard and has a swagger about him. Swagger= Confidence. Once he breaks off an awesome catch or speedy touchdown run nobody will care about his tattoos. Evans has a few and I havent heard any grips especially after his play this year

I believe it is considered outdated presently, but it's interesting that it's fairly recent. I believe as recent as 10 or so years ago, excessive tattoos would disqualify a man from becoming an officer. Even enlisted guys couldn't have full arm and chest tattoos.

> > > > The ink on his skin or hair style does not determine the character, work ethic, or heart

You are probably right, but again, this thinking is fairly recent. Military psychiatrists in the past would wash out guys with tats from flight school. Guys with tats were considered too ego-centered to handle multi-million dollar equipment. Anyone remember the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" in which Richard Gere used a bandage to hide his modest tattoo?

However nowadays that is not the case and in sports like football and basketball tats are considered essential for any player that wants to project swagger.

Times change, deal with it.

Q has got the prison ag swag going on!

He just needs a tear drop tattoo below his eye to complete the look.

+1 for cgidd8

For all the grumpy old white men posting about how visible tats make you a thug or a bad kid/person, I guess all of you now dislike Von because of his???

Like it has been said many times before, "don't judge a book by its cover".

still dont see a ton of ceo's with flowing locks

not that i give a crap if you have a di** tatted on your face. just noting that no matter how many times somebody says visible tatts dont matter, the stats remain the same.

I think the high school versions of Cuban, Jobs, or Gates may argue with that...

what about the professional versions? The good thing about hair is that it can be changed. Again, i dont care about tattoos or piercings or whatever the hell else somebody wants to do to their body. Im just pointing out statistical facts. I also saw a stat a few years ago that said 10% of people dont trust men with facial hair.

I don't trust 80% of people with facial hair and that includes the women.

Are this many people really ok with VISIBLE neck tats? LOL...somehow I doubt some of you would be impressed if your daughter or future daughter showed up at the door with a guy who had art on or above his neck or on his hands.

The reality is while society is ok with tattoos at this point there is a time and place for everything. You can't "overdress" with a neck/face/hand tattoo. Would be the equivalent of a professional who had to wear a suit every day but NEVER wore a shirt under the jacket b/c he was "expressing himself." He may be a great guy but people will wonder wtf is wrong with him.

I think neck tats and full-arm tats are fine for musicians, pro athletes, actors, etc.

They need to look a little edgy.
