Not such a good idea to be in ahigh traffic, public place doing something like this. I know it’s no shocker that underage kids drink, but most kids don’t have the media following them around looking for a headline. This could turn very bad, very quickly. Those of you who don’t understand that are just plain stupid.

My concern is that too much too fast in life usually leads to a lot of bad stuff later on in life...

Not sure if serious. If so, don't you think you are being a little knee jerk? Deadspin says his dad was at the club, so he was not out of control or acting "non-christianly." Are you one of the ones that believe that the "wine" that Jesus drank in the bible was non-alcoholic grape jelly mixed with water?

I think it's great he's living it up and nothing he's done is wrong, however I hope he can keep it together. Tough task

1. Is there ANY outlet saying whether his parents were/weren't there? Or is it simply conjecture on both sides right now?
2. If doing anything illegal or receiving any improper benefit --> stupid to put on webs. Can we all agree there?
3. If nothing illegal, then whether to be posting this stuff on the interwebs gets a little more complicated. Obviously, the perception becomes reality part can bite him and us. Heck it already made front page of tmz. Any additional scrutiny is bad. Any. Also, the "I don't give a **** attitude" usually results in more bad than good. However, if nothing illegal and no benefits, and this is how he keeps his swagger, then no problem. Obviously this, to me, is the part most will have disagreement on....and I don't think one is necessarily right or wrong....
4. Regardless of any of the above, I'd be shocked if sumlin doesnt have a talk with him about the negative publicity some of this could eventually cause....

The thing that irks me about this thread is that some people are trashing the lifestyles of Tebow, Klein, Sam Bradford, and Colt McCoy.

Since when is it bad to be good? I thought Aggies were all about character... makes me sad.

JM has to wise up and mature up...where he likes it or not even at 20 yrs. old (don't expect some of the zoo to get that yet). Unfortunately he's now in the spotlight 24/7 and an indirect role model to many younger kids (all the kids in my neighborhood are wanting to be JF), a rep for our University and a rep. of himself/family (everything will be taken out of context..too many arseholes out there to try and bring him down).

Just like a pro-athlete....they are role models....regardless if they like it or not. He has same responsibilities and there are many in this day in age willing to take him down (social media is a curse of the younger generation....too many cameras and twitter crapola).

Surely thought the incident last summer would have made him more aware of his surroundings (esp. now with all the spotlights). Guarantee Sumlin and his parents will talk to him .... yet again.

Apparanetly he went to the same club Friday and Saturday night. Friday after the game with the sweaty white shirt, and Saturday with the bad scarf. Don't think his dad was there Saturday because he was also at al biernat's in oak lawn without his dad. (/stalker). The tabc may be interested too.

If he was in photos throwing gang signs next to the body of a dead hooker in the trunk of a stolen car, I might have some concerns.

Doing what every other 20 year old college student does after a major accomplishment? Not so concerned.

You guys blowing this out of proportion need to get off the internet and go back to reporting your neighbors to the HOA for still having Christmas decorations up after January 1st.

I always love the posters who have multiple 'you don't know how it works' posts without telling us "how it works".

Those of you who say he hasnt done anything wrong...need a refresher that Pride is one of the worst vices, and it comes before the fall.

The zoo can hate if they want, and I don't want to judge without having been there and knowing all the facts, but the pictures dont appear to be of a person who has all the elements of their life in a proper perspective.

I understand where the kid is coming from, and the temptations, but its not the type of behavior I'd want for anyone I care about.

Personally, I like the Tim Tebow model. I can think of alot of great players that never acted like this - as far as we know.

How would you feel if Johnny Manziel had the year he did, was out living like a rockstar and having pictures taken with women and booze, not to mention had several arrest prior to college.....and was in a Texas Longhorn uniform? You would feel completly different about the situation.

and please spare the, yeah that sounds like fun talk...bc YES it would be fun. But Manziel is a college athlete and, like it or not, is held to a higher standard. He is the face of Texas A&M right now. If you dont agree, youve never played college sports...hell most likely not even HS sports.

well said Victory.... the zoo would be all over the coaching staff, recruiting violations, and immaturity of tu if this was vince young back in '06....also, there are four very successful rookie quarterbacks in the nfl this year named Tannehill, Luck, Griffin, and Wilson....i challenge you to find pictures or evidence of any of those four "living the life" or "partying it up" like many of you suggest is great for manziel....seems to me if manziels ultimate goal is to end up a successful professional quarterback and role model, he might need to change some habits.

Seriously, do any of you actually remember college? What makes you think just because they are student athletes, they aren't allowed to party. As long as he's not breaking the law and posting pics of it (and according to what has been reported, he hasn't), let the kid have some fun.
