Why make this an arguement over race? At this time, the focus should be on those affected by this incident, not your petty argueing. An officer was killed. We should be praying for his family.

CNN said the suspect was just sitting on his porch shooting people on the street, cop arrived got out and was shot, suspect moved into house where cops went in and shot him

Let's not do this. There will be a ton of traffic on this site today. No gun control, no race, no state of the country... A law enforcement official served an eviction notice to an apparently deranged person and something truly terrible happened. That's it.

There is a live helicopter video feed on kltv.com, thats east texas so i don't know whose copper, but LEO'S had an AR type rifle laying in the street. Still watching live.

Even more so because (at least based on where the shooting took place), it could very well have had nothing at all to do with A&M. Maybe it was a student, maybe it wasn't, but this certainly isn't "another college shooting" at this point.

This is a truly sad event, but I can't help but hate how everything is making this sound like it happened on campus. I know it was only a few blocks away, but it still wasn't on campus. Instead of a college station shooting, this will be an A&M shooting. Praying for the families though and hoping things turn out ok.

^ If it didn't involve an A&M student, they'll clean up the headlines pretty quick. They'll note that A&M is in CS, but they won't keep labeling it an A&M shooting. Except morans on tweeter.
