Constable Bachmann was a selfless, humble, and a great father/husband to his family. It is hard for me to comprehend how this could happen to him. He was active in our community and our church. Has two great kids, one of which was the flower girl in our wedding.
I cannot describe how much he will be missed by all who knew him. Not just today, but in the coming days, please pray for his wife and children.

I'm hearing that the woman who is in surgery was helping her daughter, a junior, move into her house. She is also the mother to an incoming freshman. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but that's just what I'm hearing.

He was an elected Republican, I am sure that is the reason for the mention of party affiliation.

your info is accurate. The lady shot was helping her daughter move in to a house across the street (i beleive). If info is correct, she was shot twice in the back and is in surgery. I know the father of the girl that is roommates with the girls mom that got shot. he is an ex-Midlander that lives in Houston.

I was hoping it wasn't correct. Her son is good friends with my cousin. I hope she recovers.

Just heard about this y'all!! Thought and prayers to the new members of our SEC family! Will be thinking about y'all in College Station and praying for peace and comfort for the families of the victims and the law enforcement officer.

People don't realize how risky every day can be for law enforcement officers.
I'm not saying there are no bad apple cops out there, we all know there are some. However, day in and day out 99.9% of them potentially lay their lives on the line to keep us safe.

Once again another reason to take a look at why everyone needs multi-fire weapons.....oh yes it is because someone might break into your house.....duh....theater....streets......when is this gonna end.....we are the laughing stock of the world.....
