Why would a school not want to have a College Gameday commercial filmed on location, there? For Notre Dame, mightn't it have something to do with their NBC contract? Maybe not wanting to piss off NBC, somehow? (Not sure how.)

Perhaps they knew they wouldn't win and didn't see any upside to the contest which would prove they actually don't have more fans than somebody like Clemson, NC State, etc.
