The bevel has ruined A&M marketing in my house. My wife and I both hate it and refuse to buy anything it's emblazoned on. The way he defends it, I think Cook must have a "special needs" relative that scribbled out that poorly rendered joke.

For those of you who say you don't care do you want the bevel T on our helmets?

As an institution of higher learning shouldn't we at least get the bevel highlights correct? At the intersection towards the top of the center of the T where the highlights almost touch this indicates a triangular peak to the bevel. On the bottom right of the T the trapezoid-shaped highlight indicates a bevel with a flat surface. Does this make any sense?

No it doesn't, not to mention the two missing highlight parts.

I'll miss the t-star as an option.

Not on clothes,etc..

I've decided to have a good attitude about the bevel. It's absolutely PERFECT!

It must be nice to have nothing else in life to worry about but the damn "T" on our marketing stuff. Again I say......who cares? Just win games. I dont care if we play in an all-white helmet with no logos as long as we win.

In my opinion, the marketing job A&M has done for a very long time has been absolutely horrible. They started making great marketing videos for the football games at Kyle. Yet, the ones they send for the television audience are usually pretty terrible.

Kill the bevel or don't, but don't use the Mr. Cook knows better than us argument since our marketing production has looked about high school level for some time.

It took our university up until a few years ago to realize that we need to have one consistent maroon. It too our university up until a week or so ago (maybe months ago) to realize to need to drop to 1 (2 with bevel) logos instead of the myriad of different logos. Our university allowed Nike in the 90s to add that terrible terrible terrible ugly collar to our jerseys (the one from all the Dat stuff). Our university allowed Nike to add a terrible bevel to a classic logo. If you want a bevel...at least make it make sense in terms of how a bevel would apply to a real object.

If we have to be the only school in the SEC with a 1990s era bevel in our logo let's at least get it correct. Below are examples of bevels that have been rendered correctly. These are from duffelpud.



Our primary mark is incorrect. Where the vertical center highlight almost touches the horizontal highlight towards the top of the T a bevel with a triangular peak or ridge is suggested. At the bottom right of the T the trapezoid-shaped highlight indicates a flat surface for that bevel. There are also highlights missing and other issues. If the T has a bevel shouldn't the A and M have one also? Why is it acceptable for our primary logo to have so many technical flaws?

The bevel is terrible, but if they are really committed to it, they should put it on the helmet.

I wonder if we are the only team whose helmet logo(excluding schools with no logos)is not the same as their primary logo.

I have hats with both the beveled and block "T". I have never really cared one way or the other. That said, I'm gong to now only by beveled "T" hats. Apparently, whiners only like the block "T"

And yet where's the evidence that ANY research has been done or polling of ANY kind except a statement saying well we're up 25+% in marketing (right after A&M was said to be going to the S.E.C.)?! It sure as hell isn't it because people think the bevel is awesome. He has nothing to back it up with.

If the bevel makes no difference and its supposed to be "seamless" marketing(according to our genious marketing department), I DARE YOU TO PUT IT ON THE HELMETS. But they won't, so this bevel doesn't matter line is BS.
