My first was a lot less than my replacement ring-- which arrives in 2 weeks on March 2nd!!

In 1991 I paid $360.......someone stole mine out my truck in SA last year, cost $1,350 to replace it.

Class of '84, I think my ring was around $250 for 10K antique standard ring with no stone. However, it might have been $200 to $300 because I just can't remember after 33 years. Given my wife and I worked to pay for my education and our expenses it seemed like a lot. Was great to graduate debt free after the 5 1/2 year program. Ring hasn't fit in over 4 years, I need to break down and send it in to be resized.

1976 was $400 I think.

Which is $1,692 today!

gold spiked from $300/oz to $800/oz in '80 or '81 and the ring shot up to $300 if memory serves. after gold receded, the price came back down.

im not sure if AFS was underwriting half our ring costs or not, but that's what i remember being told.

I'm almost certain that in June of '76 mine was close to $400. But, memory being what it is, maybe not.

Ordered in spring of '76, delivered by mail later that summer. For women's 10K, no diamond, it was $49.95, plus $2 insurance and postage. I still have the receipt!

I picked mine up on campus if I remember right. Seems like a white building on the north side close to Sbisa. That seems like a long time ago, could be misremembering. Do that sometimes.
