Sometimes life brings hard decisions- rise up, take the road less-travelled and take a new challenge to better yourself. This is all about conference stability, money and leaving the monopolizing control of tu. The hurdle will be the Texas Legislature and govt.......

I guess you prefer the competing against the clean programs such as USC or OU.

There is no other conference, top to bottom, that is as riddled with scandal as the SEC. Pointing out single programs in different conferences does not reinforce your argument.

Rick Perry absolutely won't allow a move to the SEC as long as he is Governor. He appointed all the regents and they serve at his pleasure. Furthermore, the Chancellor is his former chief of staff.

OK - C'mon. Quit the conference piety debate!! Why don't we join the Ivy league then?? Don't kid yourself- the Big 12 is no morally righteous entity. A pissing match over infractions and benevolence is pointless IMO. This is about $$$$$$$$$$$$ and pride.

What kind of mentality is this? It's all about winning. With winning comes prestige and money. A&M goes to the SEC and they'll neither win or gain money and prestige. A&M's current focus should be winning in their current conference. Build off of this year. Once they can prove that they can hang with the top tier teams on a week to week basis, then the money and prestige comes. Then, you guys can seriously start talking SECede though I don't foresee the SEC taking on another team as it would force them to split money between fourteen teams instead of the twelve they currently have.
