I never heard the term "elitist" applied to a football coach who grew up on the streets of Youngstown.
Pelini is the underachieving older brother of the head coach, who currently has the best job he will ever have: working for his little brother. He was last in the news when he was rumored to be having an affair with a booster's daughter in law, and the booster was putting pressure on Osborne to fire him. Bo Pelini said "if he goes, I go", and Osborne, setting his integrity time machine back to the Lawrence Phillips years, said, "Oh, sorry to bother you Bo. It won't happen again."
What will be interesting is how Pelini and Osborne deal with this:
Will they:
a) Apologize and pay for damages?
b) Ignore it with a series of "no comment" replies
c) Acknowledge it but downplay it
d) Spin it as "an accident"
e) Lie like crazy and say Brandon swore at Pelini and then assaulted him with his camera.
My money is on some variation of (e).
