So when is it time to be concerned about a high score? My score was high this wellness check. The only thing different is a switch to Lipitor. I saw it could affect the score.

Define high? How is your regularly weight lifting/exercise schedule? What about your alcohol intake?

Not an expert on this but have had issues with elevated ALT/AST in the past and strenuous exercise has a direct impact on this. In addition, alcohol plays a big role in this too.

Count was 54. Exercise needs to be better and alcohol needs to be consumed a lot less. Those are the things I am currently working on. The want to retest in 2 months so I'll see how it goes.

54 is not concerning at all but it is a good idea to trend it over time.

Mine just spiked to 82, should I be concerned? Been doing dry January, so haven't drank in 30 days.

Concerning but not alarming. Need to review any meds or non meds that may hurt the liver. Your doc may get an ultrasound to check for fatty liver or other structural problems.

Do you regularly take an NSAID or acetaminophen? Like every day multiple a day?

I do not. I just take some pretty basic vitamins/supplements.

My ALT level was 84, along with some other specs out of whack. Odds are (extremely) against a liver abscess. However, a Radiologist at Seaton ended up draining a third of a liter from two baseball sized abscesses in my case. Humans are not an easy debug.

Mine hovers around 50-55 when on a statin. I went off it for 6 months and it was 25 and 27. Cardiologist wants me to switch from 10 mg Rosuvastatin to 40mg Atorvastatin. Guess I'm going to do this. Ears open if anyone has thoughts

Check out Deep Nutrition by Dr Shanhanan. It offers different advice regarding statins and dyslipidemia in general but there are good biochemical reasons for her disagreeing with the mainstream.

And specifically regarding statins:

Sigh, I know which is why I went off them in the first place but I have a family history of CAD.

My recent levels, on the 10 mg rosuvastatin were as below. I think this is fine and don't really want to go any lower ie balance the statin positive to the negative. I know my cardiologist would like the LDL to be 70 or lower and is pushing for a stronger dose.

Total 182
HDL 69
Tri 78
LDL 96
