This morning at 0723, Casey (Mrs. AGGIE12B) passed away peacefully in her sleep at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. The neurologist told us that she had ALS and it was advancing very rapidly on Valentines day, aka Opening Day of the 2025 Aggie Baseball season. She passed away very peacefully in her sleep

I'm so sorry, JC. This takes me straight back to when you were in Baghdad and how many times she and I talked just trying to keep her calm and confident you were safe and would come home to her. I learned then that she loved you dearly and I know that she knows you loved her.

I'm really sorry to hear this. One of my best friends, an Aggie (and a baseball guy as well), passed from ALS in October of 2023. Horrible disease.
