How long do you want to ignore this user?
Getting into my late 40's, I am new at this eyes going bad thing. I have an inexpensive pair of every day glasses, but does anyone use a glasses frame or style designed for outdoors or sports activities? Something that stays in place well, is a little more durable, where appearance is secondary to utility? I don't really even know where to begin.

I wear Oakley sunglasses with a prescription. Went with those because I could go try them on in the store (small head and narrow face, in most glasses I look like a kid wearing his dad's) Expensive, especially with the Rx, but worth it to me.

I realize you may have meant regular glasses, but outdoors to me usually means sunglasses. If it's dark or cloudy, my regular glasses stay in place just fine.

I have a runner friend that got prescription lenses in a pair of Goodrs.

I don't have a prescription so no experience wearing them all day, but Roka was my favorite brand I found when trying some out for cycling. They have really sporty and casual frames.

i know you asked about glasses, but why not contacts?

I usually wear my glasses for daily activities (b/c i'm lazy), but wear contacts when running/riding/whatever so that i can just wear my normal sunglasses.

I would go even further and suggest LASIK or ICL, one of the best decisions I made in my life.

I have had a pair of Oakley Flak Jacket XJ or whatever they are called for close to 15 years and done just about everything with them. Frames are still good and you can change the lenses out when your eyes change.

I love Roka. I have worn Roka eyeglasses for the past 3 years and recently purchased Roka prescription sunglasses. I run about 50 miles/week in them and they don't bounce or move. They are a Texas company too.

Another vote for Roka. Very lightweight and comfortable, made to not slip or move around while you are active. They have great customer service and will send you frames to try on and send back free of charge so you can decide which you like best before ordering the prescription lenses.

I ordered a prescription pair from sportsrx specifically for running, working outside, etc. Work great

Used to run in Oakleys. Now all I ever wear are Goodrs,

Great, cheap sunglasses and they stay in-place as well as my Oakleys ever did.
Consistency: It's only a virtue if you're not a screw-up.
