We just went to a local mall and checked it out and we were impressed. It's obviously a top end luxury item and from what I can tell so far, I will be able to do most (if not all) of the lifts that I want to do with it. My wife wanted it for form/stats tracking. A good family friend of ours has had it for over a year and had really good results with it and absolutely swears by it.
One down side is that the monthly fee is required for the first 12 months. However, my wife was going to use that anyway for learning purposes. You can cancel the monthly after 12 months and I am thinking she won't need it at that point.
The final deciding factors were -
1) it was not much more the the commercial grade cable lift I wanted to buy when we started looking. A brand new one was the same cost as the Tonal, and a used one was not much cheaper after shipping. Personally I have gotten much better results at my age with cable-based lifting than free weights so these were the two options.
2) the commercial grade cable lift I wanted was way too big for the room it's going in, and the Tonal folds up into the wall, almost completely out of the way.
We have a 30 day full refund period starting in about a week. I will try to remember to post a review once I have had some time to use it.
