Ran a 13.1 time trial to assess my fitness before marathon training. PR'ed by 3 min and feeling good about where I stand.
Only downside is that I am going to lose a toenail from the effort. Anyone have advice on how to relieve the pressure underneath the nail before it falls off?
Is it already cut really short? If not, I've found that cutting it back really short can sometimes do enough to drain it. I've never had the nerve to try the nail or drill bit route, but I probably should have a few times, in hindsight.
