Wish this news came sooner, but hiring a guy that's been with Netflix and Spotify tells me they want to stand alone and be their own company. Great move, just a shame the old CEO held on as long as he did...but it was his baby, after all.
I would like to know this too. Specifically, a comparison vs. the OG. I need to look into the return policy, might give them a try and send back if they don't ride well. The OG just did not fit my foot well at all.aglaohfour said:
are the new ones more comfortable?
In reality it could be a lot of things. They could be too small, they could just be fastened too tight, the cleats could be mounted in a poor position. But if you think they're too small, that's probably it.Pirate04 said:
I wear normal tennis shoes during my outdoor rides and don't have any issues. I do feel like my toes get numb and tingly even during Peloton rides though. Should I take that as a tell-tell sign that they are in fact too small?
The stock has fallen 76% from its high, it is also cutting 2800 jobs.CFTXAG10 said:

i dont' think they are needed at this point. I know when we were originally deciding on the bike, i had the wife go do a test ride at a store b/c we didn't know anyone that had one, at least not locally. but at this point, i think they have the brand and if someone really needs a test ride, its not hard to find a friend with a bike.tysker said:
was I the only one surprised to learn they had 2800 employees able to canned?
But then again, every time I go by a PTON store, there are at 3 or 4 people in there standing around. The storefronts where nice as proof of concept but maybe they wont be needed as the brand has developed a reputation of quality and a pretty loyal customer base
What about the test ride "sold" her? I mean I really can't think of a need to test it out at all. I understand some people just want to put their hands on it, so to speak. But I really can't think of something I'd find in a 5 minute test ride that told me nope, not the bike for me. Unless it was just a really poor build, but I generally trust DC Rainmaker and others' reviews for stuff like that. We never even sat on a peloton before buying ours.AggieOO said:i dont' think they are needed at this point. Yeah, my wife has always done spin classes so kind of knew what to expect. I showed her the peloton and peloton + dc rainmaker reviews then we watched a couple more suggested youtube videos from those reviews and she was sold and knew she wanted the plus.wangus12 said:
My wife did the same in that she wanted to go get on one in the store and have somebody explain it all to her in terms of features. Didn't really seem necessary to me, but whatever works for her.
Thank you for posting this! Seriously, I had been getting pain during my rides towards the front of my foot (nothing crazy but enough to be annoying). I positioned the cleats back yesterday and its gone. For reference, I am riding in the Nike Super Rep Cycling shoes and bought my cleats on Amazon. I guess when I installed them I just set them way too far forward.htxag09 said:In reality it could be a lot of things. Not sure about that, but Wilpers has an online service where they will do a fit for you via facetime/zoom or some video call platform. I have heard nothing but good things about it from those who have used it.Vince Blake said:
Do they do the bike fittings in the stores? I don't live too terribly far from the one in Plano.
the bike was 90% for my wife, not me. She isn't the type to go read online reviews and has no idea who DC Rainmaker is. I wanted her to go do a test ride to make sure the classes, instructors, etc was something she would like and acuatlly stick with. Zero chance I was going to pull the trigger on it without that. It had nothing to do with the bike itself and everything to do with the content and the content delivery.htxag09 said:What about the test ride "sold" her? There's toilet seat joke in here somewhere...Quote:
Hell, she gets "upset" if she has to adjust the seat after i use it, though its not like she would ever adjust the seat back for me either.
Wife and I have had our Bike+ for 3 weeks and ordered shoes as part of a bundle with the bike. She is true half size and had to go up to an 8 since the original shoes didn't come in her normal size. They were a little too big for her, but was OK. We ended up ordering a pair of the new shoes in 7.5 and she likes them a lot more than the original ones. They fit her better and feel more like tennis shoes. We kept her original pair since they fit my daughter well, so I'm not sure how the return process would have worked.bthotugigem05 said:
I love the new shoes over my original Peloton shoes. Much more airy I think.
Dropping the bars was one of the first things I did on mine. Like you said, beach cruiser settings. I've had normal bike fits over the years, so that helped dial in the settings.Scriffer said:
Lowered me 5 settings on the bars, 1.5 on the seat, and back 1 on the saddle along with adjusting my cleats and saddle angle. Feel like a champ now

I just worry they are going to suggest something that's just so far off I'm not going to like it.
