I can count on one hand the number of 5:00's I've actually pulled off. Feels great, but dang near impossible with toddlers.

Toddler and 3 month old here too I do a live class on occasion on the weekend, but weekdays are 5 pm with the toddler upstairs with me otherwise it ain't happening.

Week 2 of "Discovering your Power Zones" in the books. Really enjoying the program and certainly seeing improvement in my biking. Obviously being new to Peloton bike and getting back into cycling has helped, but Wilpers and the others are just great coaches.

Still trying to dial in my form, but excited with the progress.

Do I need to do anything before doing the Discover your Power Zone classes? Are there multiple options with different instructors for this or is it simply 1 large program that you can take?

As long as you feel comfortable on the bike you are good to go.

The schedule is preplanned. It tells you what ride to take on one day of the week (there is flexibility on the exact day).

Only one week is available at a time and the future weeks are locked out.

The typical schedule is

Day 1: class
Day 2: rest
Day 3: class
Day 4: class
Day 5: rest
Day 6: class
Day 7: rest

You'll test your FTP in week one to set a baseline and then you use those for the ride.

It's been great and I know my FTP is going to be significantly bigger when I retest in week 5.

I'm on week 4 of the build your zone program and tonight Olivia kicked my butt with the 45min PZ max ride. Guess its been awhile since I've done one of those. sheesh.

Usain Bolt will be on Hannah Frankson's 30 min ride Thursday at 12:30pm. I think it would be fun (and somewhat suicidal) to see how close you can get to matching his output.

I was watching some YouTubes the other day, from old Olympics (2008ish)
He takes so few steps compared to the guys he's running next to, it's absurd.

Kinda sucks for Angie. They're really coming after that segment, which I totally get. She's put a lot of work into the program and building community and relationships, so I'll stick with that as long as I can.

I don't think this is really aimed at replacing the challenges that PZP does. I was under the impression it was just a continuation of the Discover Your Power Zones program. There is no social component and it is just a way for people who just learned about their zones to see how to improve their FTP.

I did the spice girl ride today.

Fun ride and Leanne is a smoke show which made it great. Nice change up from the PZ rides

My wife is an overachiever and got her W1R1 ride in a couple days ago, so I got peer pressured into doing mine this weekend even though I'd originally planned to be lazy until the 19th lol. Catch all y'all on the leaderboard!

My wife just did her FTP test in preparation for the challenge and got her eyes opened a bit to the affects of being off the bike for a while. She is now ready to spend the next 6 weeks catching back up to where she wants to be.

Started week 4 of "Discovering your Power Zones."

Major PR on the 45 minute ride with Denis. Not surprising given it was the first time to routinely ride at a level 5.

I'm still struggling a bit on my fit. I raised the seat up to a 26 but had to move the seat closer (B). I was having a bit of pain in the front of my knee which from what I can tell may mean the seat was too low, so I raise it 1.

I'll be curious to see my overall PZ improvement when I retest in just over a week.

Hmmm, I'm not sure, actually. I know a lot of PZ challenge peeps also have Strava, but you kinda got to know each person individually somehow already to connect.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, it looks more like a free demo than a discount. Doesn't seem to do anything for folks that already have a Peloton account.

I think it's 4 months free of the full membership and maybe a year of the digital membership. Not a huge savings, but I'll take a few months free.

Ride 250 today. Decided to go live so Hannah Corbin was my only option and enjoyed it. Got a new 30 minute PR after hitting one yesterday too!

5' 8", 186, and I'll be 38 in august. My W/Kg for this ride was 2.24 which is the only way I know to make relative comparisons for people of different sizes and whatnot.

Just finished the 5 week build your zone schedule. Took my test yesterday and improved 2pts over last time to bump my average up. Pretty good program but I can not do rides with CDE. just not a fan of hers.

I think she's good for a cool down easy ride, but yeah, from a higher output level I want Matt or Olivia pushing me. Even Denis can be annoying at times with all his lip syncing and air guitar play.

I think this challenge is going to ramp up a bit faster since it is only a 6 week challenge with no recovery week in the middle.

What did y'all do when you transitioned off one of the PZ training courses? Did you jump into something new or take a couple weeks off to recoup.

I'm kinda tempted to keep maybe the M/Th/Sat PZ courses and then add in some HIIT or Hills or just tougher courses on the Wed day. I like the schedule, but want to add in some new type of workouts at least once/week.

Am I crazy or is the week 5 ride 3 not correct on the "Discovering your Power Zones?"

It was with CDE and the description called for 10 minute warmup followed by 2 - 9 minute Z3 intervals, with 1 minute Z1 in between.

That's not at all what the workout was though: Repeats of 3 in Z3, 2 in Z2.
