I have four of these:

They are not light at all but this is what I service all of my 150, 250, 350 trucks with. 3 year warranty. I've done lifts, leveling kits, suspension work….anything. I'm a big fan of them over pretty much anything else I've found.
I have one of these and its my most used jack. I also have one of the 1.5ton "racing jack" which is super handy for moving it around and using it to lift/move/press secondary things. Like raising/lowering a rear axle when changing shocks for example.
Yeah....they are nice.
I searched high and low for a quality jack. I started with American Forge and Foundry. These are what Discount Tire uses. I figured if they are good enough for them 6 days a week all day, then they will be good for me. But they didn't have stellar reviews either.
I ended up digging up a thread on garage journal and these were reccomended. They are super smooth. They roll well if you have concrete floors, they pump up fast and can be CONTROLLED on the descent, which for things like you said with lowering an axle is really handy. I used these on my F350 to lower the axles to add stuff.
I waited until there was a 30% off everything coupon available for 3 days or something and then I ran around town collecting them. I have other jacks from Torin that I have had a long time and they are just gigantic pieces of ***** The 6 ton jack is used for nothing more than jacking up a truck to get it on jack stands. The SOB will bleed down almost before I can get a jack stand under it. Huge POS. The Daytonas don't give me trouble and they came with better warranties than I could find anywhere.
