Key notes from Buchanan’s thoughts on Morrow

• Jamarion Morrow is a very exciting player. Whenever I think about him, I think of the play when there were two people ready to tackle him, and he spun around them like a top. He has great speed. He showed it off in that game when he caught a screen pass. He can do a lot of damage. He isn't the biggest guy, but he can run inside and has a lot of speed.
   
• He is the player who may have a one-yard run, but even if the defense had the play right, he is the type of guy who will make the other team's fans hold their breath. He has big-play ability. He has extremely quick feet, and I bet that he can dance.
   
• Even though he was pretty darn good, we didn't see Amari Daniels as much last year. That running back room was deep last year, and it is a deep room this year too.
   
• The only thing that Rueben Owens II has to prove is that he can get the tough yards. Last year, there was Le’Veon Moss and E.J. Smith. On 4th-and-1 against a tough defense, I would want Morrow running up the middle, but I'd like him to get to the edge. He seems like he would be a great guy on punt returns because of his ability to cut so quickly, but the coaches know best.
   
• Marcel Reed's ability to run enhances the yardage that the running backs can have. Guys will be worried that the quarterback is going to go, and it opens things up for the running back. I would bet that Owens can be a 1,000-yard back. He will just need to not miss three games. The offensive line has to be capable, but Owens has shown us the big-play ability. He had a 57-yard rushing touchdown against Missouri to go along with a 35-yard one. He even had a better game against Mississippi State with a 140-yard game. I see Morrow having 400 to 500 yards. He is like the relief pitcher that comes in. It is kind of like the 2018 LSU game, when De’Von Achane was going crazy, and they brought in Daniels, and he was going crazy as well. It reminds me of that.
