We have a Harbor Freight jack and it works for what we need. Also we have 4 heavy duty old school Craftsman jack stands that we have owned forever.

Well, certain stigmas never really go away, and the stigma around HF is it's cheap junk. I get it, but they do have some things that are great products, with their jacks being one of them (I'd argue their generators are as well). I have their low profile extended jack and a set of 3 ton jack stands, and feel just as unsafe while using those as I do being under my car on my buddy's BendPak lift.

I have a Strong Way aluminum 3 ton floor jack from Northern Tool I got probably 10 years ago. It has worked flawlessly and is not that heavy for a floor jack. It lifts my F250 with no problem.
So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Been using this thing for almost 10 years and it's been superb. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/jacks-jack-stands/floor-jacks/2-ton/2-ton-low-profile-aluminum-racing-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-64542.html

When I started making knives I did what most do. Went to HF and got their 1x30 belt grinder and a Bauer portaband. I've since given it away to an OB'r and burned up two Bauer and one Milwaukee Portabands(Dewalt going strong). Now I've got $2k professional 2x72 grinders and $5K heat treat oven but it all started with a $30 POS belt sander. HF has its place for run of the mill stuff like clamps, bungee cords etc, or if you need a cheap one-time paint gun to cerakote a rifle, etc, but they are not quite equal to Dewalt or Milwaukee on power tools, But they also are the market leaders when it comes to certain items. predator generators dominate jobsites as do their floor jacks dominate most small garages. Never used the badland winches but heard great things about them. Just spend some time on a forum before you buy. You'll get honest testimonials. Dont just repeat some crap you heard one time by some guy who has never actually done **** in life.

I bought this Torin 2 years ago at tractor supply specifically because it was on sale and had the extension for greater reach on pickups and SUVs. It has served me well.

I have no problem using the HF Daytona floor jack. I use ESCO jack stands. The quality of the jack stand is the bigger issue than the floor jack IMHO.

In fact I lifted my Boxster with one this morning.
Pfft, my grandmother could lift a Boxster

I got tired of cheap Jack's many years ago. Went to discount tire to see what they used. I figured that's about the hardest life possible.

American forge and foundry.

I bought their heavy duty in a 4 ton. Been awesome for about 5 years so far. Still going strong.
