I'm going to be getting a car allowance starting in Jan and need to buy a truck. I've always had 1/2 ton pickups as they were cheaper, but it seems like prices have converged to an extent to where I could get a decently outfitted 3/4 ton for the same price as a half ton.
I don't necessarily need the 3/4 ton, we do an RV trip once or twice a year but have always been ok with a 1/2 ton though i'm sure the 3/4 would be better for towing a 7000+ lb camper. I will have a fuel card so don't care about mpgs.
What else should I be aware of going from a 1/2 ton to a 3/4?
