When I was texting the salesperson back and forth, I asked, "are you sure the vehicle is presently on the lot"? The website shows a specific vin and unit number for the truck I wanted. He texted me back and said "yes, I just walked outside and put my hands on it" which was obviously a lie. In discovery, I asked them to produce any and all information regarding the sale of the unit made the subject of the lawsuit. The documentation they produced proved unequivocally that the unit had been sold over a month prior.

I love this. I bet some enterprising young lawyer could make a career hammering dealerships in to settlements like this. How many potentially billable hours do you think you spent on it?

I am hearing from another Ford dealer (Cannot verify) that Ford will stop putting a manual transmission in the Bronco for whatever that may be worth to anyone on this board. Supposedly Covert is one of the biggest Bronco dealers in the southern US.

I also would like to add that Covert sucks. I will never do business with them.

Could you send me an email? I am having a big issue with Riata Ford. Sold my truck right out from me. I know it is breach of contract and deceptive trade but need to know a good attorney here in Austin. Their attorney, Craig Douglas, is a joke. Their General Manager is a joke too. He admitted to my wife, who is a paralegal (family law though) that they screwed up and will do whatever they can to make it right but for three years now - Ford has not been producing trucks. That's disappointing to hear Covert has gone to crap. I had a good experience buying an F250 from them in 2020. The GM I dealt with got arrested less than a year later for illegally selling guns out of the dealership with another employee. I wish I would've know that was an available add on at the time.
