Going to Jim from 65k to 90k starting overnight

We've been talking about replacing my wife's AT4 with a GX, I believe I'll do that this fall before the new model comes out. Big reason I want it is the dinosaur of a V8.
I guess the new TX will be occupying the $60K+ slot. They released a teaser of that one this week as well:
I'd definitely be interested in one.
Why? What am I missing?

Are the Sequoia and LX600 built on the same frame? They look very similar in person. Interested to see how the GX slots. Sequoia is much smaller in Persian than I expected.

Ah, well my wife won't drive a GX because "it drives like truck". Sounds like the TX May interest her if it's a crossover.

That looks like a bad guess. A scaled down LX would look nice and the teaser pics seem to support that

Yes. My sell was its smaller than the Tahoe. She still didn't like it. She wants an NX but I think it's too small with 3 dogs if we're going to start a family soon. I'd prefer to not have to upsize in a few years.
I think it's the hydraulic power steering that she probably didn't like. My wife doesn't like how heavy the steering wheel feels. She thinks it's harder to maneuver in tight areas than her expedition
Probably, but im used to driving a 1 ton diesel so almost anything is easier than that haha
That's doing a diservice to the Sequoia.
Do yourself a favor and get a van.

I made that post at 10:04 on Thursday morning, by 11 I found one that was a 100% match to what we wanted at Northside Lexus in Spring. Screw it, let's look at it. I was driving it home before noon on Friday, great experience with that dealer and we're very happy with it.

Just curious, did they say what the current wait time is on an LX600?
They didn't, but I didn't ask. They had one sitting in the sold area and I think there was one in the showroom. The lot was huge so there might have been more outside, I never walked around so I can't say.
That's pretty surprising to me. I drove a 2020 a few weeks ago and it kinda blew me away with how much drove like a crossover. I expected it to drive like a tacoma and it was an order of magnitude better. Not like a great handling german crossover, but decent. I've driven a few crossovers that are way worse. One of the moms at my daughter's school got a new one…
She waited about 8 months. She got the first one from Lexus Plano
Did they trade it in already? Saw one there today with 16k miles. Asking ~ $125k
Nope still rocking it. She loves it
