Geico, no claims, 3 vehicles, up 26%. Post your pain!
No doubt, just didn't expect this amount of sticker shock. The previous renewal was up ~10%. The Geico rep said the underwriters submitted a rate increase to the state of Tx so there was really nothing they could do, except offer their "safe driving monitoring" to save ~$150 every term. No thanks.EMY92 said:
With vehicles, parts, and labor skyrocketing, it's going to pull insurance rates up as well.
Over 20 years of owning a body shop and dealing with every insurance company out there makes me say this. I'm friends with pretty much every body shop owner in town and not one of them is excited when a Geico job comes in the door. Even the local chain shop has kicked them out.aggiecody06 said:

Interesting, I didn't price them. Grundy was actually cheaper than Hagarty but I wasn't impressed with their onboarding process.texsn95 said:
I've been using JC Taylor with a collector policy on my 95 Cobra and they were about 1/2 the price of Hagerty when I switched 3 years ago. Had a windshield claim which they paid with no questions asked except to provide a picture of the damage. Just an alternative in case Hagerty has a large increase. It'll probably be a few months before I get my JC renewal. USAA was expensive years back when i quoted with them but it may be worth another shot.

My premium doubled, Geic0, 3K for 6 mos with 6 vehicles, 5 full coverage.
Zero accidents, zero tickets.
I switched to progressive, less than half the cost of Geicos renewal price with MORE coverage.
I also shop every 6 mos just to keep everyone in check.

Geico will go to the ends of the Earth to find the cheapest junk parts to put on your vehicle. I've heard "we don't pay for that" from almost every Geico adjuster I've dealt with. I like to fix cars the right way, not the way they want me to fix them.
It's not worth it for me to deal with them because they refuse to repair a car the right way. When a customer walks in my shop with a Geico estimate, I tell them I will fight to get everything paid for that I can, but after that, the customer will have to pay out of pocket for the items Geico won't cover. I'm not the only shop in town that has that policy with them now.

My full coverage for my car went up from 240 to 255 for six months, thieves!
I just did the same. Had the Pacifica and Tesla on Full Coverage w/ 1k deductible and the LandCruiser on liability only with Geico.1agswitchin4lanes said:

Switched to Progressive, full coverage on all three and 500 deductible for about half of Geico. Came out to ~800 for 6mo with Progressive.

We did this going from Travelers to Progressive. Saved a ton -- I almost feel like they did it to lure us in. Our rate went up $628 this year..... about 40% now that I"m looking at it.

I don't think that would be the consensus of a group of body shop managers
