Here is the 40 I mentioned a few weeks ago. It's a phenomenal truck and it would be hard to find a better PO.

I have stood in that storage unit and looked at that rig myself. It is as advertised!!!

I second reddog's motion.

Does my new(to me) ride count?

I saw some people online switching the badging over to Land Cruiser Prado. It looked pretty sweet

Anyone on this board done an engine swap on an 80-series? The drive back through the Appalachian mountains convinced me that more power was the first thing I'll be doing to my rig.

EDIT: I'm thinking either a V8 from a Tundra, or the ole' LS swap, but I'm in the very early stages of researching this. A family member suggested a diesel from an F-250, and that sounds amazing. It's just time and money, amiright?

Could that big of a diesel fit under the hood?

Looking more into this morning, not sure if it would fit, but going from gas to diesel looks to be incredibly complicated. Not from a mechanical standpoint, but from an electrical one. I'm going to stick with throwing a V8 in there. Just gotta pick one.

I'd bet that's a 7.3 they're suggesting? I imagine that would be TITE fit. It's been done (diesel swaps) w/ 12valves before and documented on mud. Reddog will be along soon to wisely advocate for Toyota diesel swap. Any way you go- ih8mud is your friend here.

Buddy of mine had Tandem Automotive LS swap his 80… and it's been a **** show. Constantly back to them to fix issues; over heating, gauges not working, etc.

Anyone need a belly skid for a 200? This is from Ironman 4x4. They sent it but did not include the hardware. It was for my buddies 2016, and they ended up sending out another one with the hardware and told me to keep this one. I have been moving it around, storing it, tripping over it.

Located in Bryan today, but I'm in Austin during the week. No hardware, but maybe you can make something. Work.

$40

Should fit a 2013 LX?

Nevermind looking at the Ironman website at least, doesn't look compatible.

It's probably not the smart choice, but it's definitely the cool choice.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably do the engine swap myself. I can do the mechanical part, but I need help with the tune. I have the equipment to load the tune and record data. I just need someone who can fine tune it.

I know you're kidding because there's no way a guy with a beautiful truck like yours can I buyers remorse. That said this was a great turnkey rig for somebody who wanted to jump in and drive.

What's giving me buyers remorse is everybody gearing up for engine swaps right now. I on the other hand, just got through putting a lot of time and effort in work to go back as original as I could.

It's just a challenge to get things done on mine. Lots of little things that aren't all inexpensive DIY. I did order a soft top and bow kit and my 4Plus swing outs should go out via fedex today.

Seems like a neat item, but not sure the stock setup warrants $175 to correct.

If you DIY your oil changes I think it's worth it but to each their own.

Saw these at the dealership driving through town this morning. The blue one looks sharp. You could pick it up on the way to the Breeder's Cup next week.

First mod on my "land cruiser" Added Multi Terrain Select to the GX460 by changing out the 4wd module cost about $230, ordered the module from Lexus. Just had to pull the glovebox out and it was plug and play
ChoppinDs40
How long do you want to ignore this user?

What exactly does that do if it's just an electronic that plugs in?
FamousAgg
How long do you want to ignore this user?
According to Toyota:
Toyota Multi-Terrain Select is a feature found on select Toyota trucks and SUVs that regulates wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control.

Sounds like it's an additional processor to monitor wheel spin above and beyond the standard ABS type stuff

Would this basically enable crawl control if they didn't already have it?

Texags really knows stuff. This thread is amazing. Been trying to decide on a toy to buy myself. An LC has my attention.

What's the scouting report on the JDM Diesels?

For example.

Funny enough Crawl Control is slightly different. It's already in the computer with the "downhill assist" but I don't have the toggle switch or the CC speed switch with my trim. To enable it I literally have to either buy a factory switch or wire in a toggle switch and do a "zero point calibration"
