Does anyone on this list have strong feelings about time? I had a short call with Reddog today and we thought that with the game at 5pm the lead element will want to be in place shortly after lunch to make the hangout worthwhile. That's the heat of the day, so tents will be nice; and I can make that happen.
According to aggiepaintrain a few pages back, Reed is a $5 lot on game days. I'm thinking we can stake out a spot along the perimeter where we have the grass to spread out on.
My plan is to get out in the morning for the drive. With the game being at 5pm we probably don't need a lot of food as folks can have lunch before they arrive and enjoy a delightful corndog at the game if they're staying. I may have lunch with a couple buddies that live in town if they're available and I might drag them along if they want as well. The surf park is sold out so I'm not stopping there on the way.
I have a popup tent I can bring.
I will probably put jerry cans in the swing out and put the cooler in the back so we can have a little water available.
The Kentucky Derby is also on Satruday.

I am still tentative. I have a ton of things to do around here, but I am trying to get business meetings lined up in Houston the following week to justify coming down for the weekend.
I'd like to be there and just check out everyone's toys

Don't judge me on Saturday. I recently changed all the fluids in my vehicle (oil, transmission, power steering, differential, and coolant), and all this fresh fluid is revealing that I have a LOT of hoses and o-rings that need replacing. So, she's driveable, but she might leave a deposit in the parking lot.
It wouldn't be an old land cruiser meet up without stains on the pavement afterwards.
Sorry if I missed it, what time are y'all meeting up? I am local with one of Toyota's best peeling blizzard white gx470s and I am interested, but 3 kids and wife makes me kind of flaky these days.

It's 2hr away for me and yes, my tent is on wheels.
Get a nice breeze and open the mosquito net since it is still 80 here, but being 7' in the air, we aren't really getting bugs in.

Why can't it be 50 like last weekend
We will be there early afternoon after a soccer game in round rock at 10. Will have an awning to open up for shade and some cold drinks.
