No idea. But it's insured, so I'm not too concerned.

not to continue to derail, but yes, I believe that the front deck pivots so that the iron pig will come up higher out of his POV. I don't really know why it's down that far, but I'm don't know all that much about auto transports - other than the front axles have more drop and are unique for that application. Years ago bull haulers would hunt those front axles and combine them with extended frames of 300+ inches to get the rake they were after.

Did the annual Padre Island National Seashore trip a few weeks ago, Land Cruiser carried the family of 5 down with no issues. Along the 85 mph speed limit stretch of road I set the cruise for 93 and just purred along, nice and quite and AHC suspension working perfectly. Passed over 210K miles on the odometer.

Also picked up a home made trailer from a kid (he was 18 or so) who built it himself, it's all steel and welded. He was actually in College Station as well. Not sure what exactly I'll do with it but plan was to put a roof top tent on it and take tent trips in cooler weather.

Ugh, we have been looking at used '16s, my wife loves her 2000 but wants something newer to drive for the next 15 years. We may have to make a.move sooner than expected if this is true.

This has been all over social media the past few days. Idk what to think of it. Toyota released some BS non-denial denial of the claim they are giving it the axe.

Makes little sense in the emissions requirement environment we're in to make and qualify two niche vehicles when one will do. Not sure how changing the front grille and badging will cost much though.

It's BS.

This story runs every 5 years, on the dot. "Land Cruiser death imminent".

They make straight-cash homey on every one they sell. Volume means nothing.

AND, Lieberman is a legendary dip****, so I place no confidence in his sources.

Very nice! Saw that one for sale on Mud but I don't need another 40. However, I was tempted as they had it priced right. Glad to see an Ag pick it up.

How many miles, and where is your 100? I've been looking for the right one for a few months now.

The 100 is an 05 with about 226k miles on it. I've had it for 2 years now, bought it completely stock with a tired suspension and worn tires, which I was planning on replacing anyway.

I've added Bunp it Offroad step sliders and rear bumper, a TJM T13 front with a pair of Aurora led combo driving lights. I went with Icon Stage 1s and OME 863s along with OME torsion bars, Slee diff drop, and SPC UCAs. Roof Rack is a Gamiviti, I had him taper the bars when it's "upside down" so it will follow the roofline better, I think he's added that as an option since.

I found the 40 on Mud, it's a 71 with a desmogged 2F from an 82. It's not a garage queen or show car by any means, but it's complete and pretty solid. I'm still learning about 40s, so it's not perfect, but it's right for me. It's a US spec that spent most of its life in East Texas and the last 8 years in Austin with its previous owner. He only sold it because he got a really sweet 45 as his next project.

Looking forward to learning from you guys and MUD for the 40. Can't wait to get the top off when it cools down some

It is a 2000 with 257k on it. We aren't in a rush but when it is time to sell it I will post it up on here.

Both trucks look great. I hope you've taken that 100 to Big Bend and CO.

I got a nice little surprise today as I was driving the 1978 FJ 55 for the first time. Everything in the truck is in Kilometers. So the vehicle I thought had 99,800 miles on it actually only has a little over 62,000. Somewhere in the back and forth between me and the seller this never came up.

I got my (new to me) 93 Land Cruiser state inspected last month. $7. I asked why so cheap and they responded because it is older than 25 years and does not require an emissions inspection.

Last weekend I proceed to remove the "PAIR" system (unique to 93 and 94) which is some emissions thing that I believe is the cause of it throwing random check engine lights.

Im certainly no expert and I'm not that well versed on 70 series prices, but the condition it's presented in separates it from the avg rig.

Man I can't wait, im like a kid at Christmas. I drove it around the neighborhood in greenwood yesterday since the temperature was cool enough to enjoy driving it but I don't have plates for it yet.

Im learning a lot about importing a car. Did you know that if you import a car you have to get it inspected by an auto theft specialist before they will issue you a title for it in Texas? Only place that does that around here is the Odessa Police and only on Weds. There next available day is Oct 2nd (which of course I'll be out of town) so im not sure how soon it will actually be on the road. Im looking into temporary plates for it now.

Also, out here in the land of oil and gas the only places you can get non-ethanol fuel is at the Murphy's in Big Spring or Odessa. The FJ55 I bought from Canada has never had ethanol in it and I don't want to start now. So that's going to be a pain. My dad owns the Highrolls general store in NM and only has non-ethanol so I've been looking at ways to transport fuel from there.

Yeah im not getting a lot of work done since it arrived.
