The wheels are Coy wheels from www.coyswheel.com, model C57, polished aluminum. The fronts are 8.5x18 and the rears are 9.5x18. I mounted Kuhmo Ecsta STX tires, 255/55/18 fronts and 275/55/18 rears. I'm sure those that build and operate street trucks will point out that I did it all wrong... but it works for me. I just found some trucks I liked, copied what they did using similar size wheels and tires (AND BACKSPACING on the wheels). Nothing rubs, nothing binds, and I got the stance/look that I wanted.
As far as the suspension, yes I did it it myself with bolt up parts. I used 2.5" drop spindles and combined them with another 1" of drop via springs up front for 3.5" drop up front. In the rear I used 5" drop springs and an adjustable track bar (not sure the latter was really necessary). So far I haven't gone to a shorter stroke shock but I do think it would help the ride some. The rear is only about an inch off the bump stop, so there isn't any room to load feed sacks or hay bales without riding around on the bs. I did not notch the frame. Lowering did sacrifice some ride across potholes, but up and down the highway I'm not disappointed. I did change ball joints and wheel bearings while I had it apart. The A arm bushings looked good so I left them alone.
