In the short time I spend scanning this board I've seen a good bit of AD love and some outstanding projects/trucks by posters.
I was curious though, how many here have 67-72 C/10's or similar? Post 'em up, I'd like to see them. Thx.

Always wanted a '67-'72 Chevy SWB when I was a teenager in high school. They gorgeous, simplistic lines and an engine bay that could hold the large CID power plant you could find.

I have a '69. Will sell for $20,000, which is $4k-$5k less than I have in it, but I need the cash to pay off a $5,800 insurance deductible.

STRONG post Schultz. Wow. I'm in the market but at half your asking price. You're at the finish line, I'll have to start a little farther back Awesome C10.

Thanks. There is a video of it under "Read more about this car" at http://www.classicalgasmotors.com/cars/12003/12003.htm.

I just spent $4,000 on it this summer, so it should be good to go for a while. That was before I got hit with the $5,800 roof deductible.

Sold my '70 Nova through Classical Gas before too, so hoping for success with the truck http://www.classicalgasmotors.com/cars/0621/0621.htm

I have finally found the vehicle to help schultz02 carry the banner for the 67-72 Chevys on this board. That is until his is sold and then I guess I'll be alone... but anyway... here is my fairly recently purchased '69 C-10.

Nice, man! Don't know why I didn't see this thread before. Definitely too young to have been around back then, but those are some good lookin' trucks.

Here's my '71 C10. Been tracking a problem because it hasn't been starting lately. At this point I'm down to the starter, but need help replacing it...

Very nice Agtwister.

I haven't driven my truck all that much myself because it had mechanical issues when I bought it. Now that I've got it out I'm picking up more gasoline smell in the cab than I like. That will only get worse after I put the A/C in and roll the windows up. I really coveting that area behind the seat for speakers/sub... so I'm leaning toward relocating the tank to the rear under the bed. A popular modification.

Hated to sell my AD truck but I was ready for a change. I'm liking the switch. And if I need any motivation I just pull Dazed and Confused up on the AppleTV and.. boom. Get back to work.

Nice. Have spent the last few days working my way through the truck to identify what's wrong with it. Have determined (or think) it's the solenoid, but it's all the way down there and from what I hear it's easier to swap out the whole starter. After giving a good look, still looks difficult, so might have to call in the experts to help me out... Frustrating, because I'm antsy to get out there again.

Starter is not hard to replace. About 3 bolts and a wire.

George, that's what I was told, but when I crawled under there, the frame and headers were in the way and I just couldn't find all the bolts. Looking from the top down was just as tight.

I have a 70 lwb that I've owned for 10+ years now. Engine (305) is done, vintage air added, power brakes w/ drilled & slotted rotors on all 4 corners, power steering upgraded, 2"/3" drop, and dual electric fans.

Ready for paint and body but I've run out of steam. I'm putting it up for sale in January... :-(

Spent some time on the truck with dad and bro yesterday and got it fired back up! Whoop! If it wasn't for this damn rain, I'd be out on the road right now.

Centerpole Jr. slammed the door with the window down the other day and today I took the door panel off and put the window back in the track.

While I had the door panel off I went ahead and installed the sport mirror on the driver's side. Tomorrow I'll do the passenger mirror.

My Grandfather had a 72 C-10 with the 350.

It had less than 60,000 miles when he died in 2001. He worked for the railroad so it just went from his house to the RR depot, sat there all week, and then went home so he never really racked up the miles on it. Somehow the truck ended up in my uncle's hands and he sold it without giving anyone else in the family a chance to buy it about a year later.

I'm still bitter about that.

Centerpole, did you do the suspension and wheel replacement on your own? The tires and rims are nice, can you tell me what brand, style, etc. for both tires and rims?
Silvy

I hope those wheels don't have any chrome, they would corrode like crazy!

Agtwister, if you considering doing your own suspension work...do etttt.

Agtwister- yes I did and I will. I am away from home and on the phone. When I get to my desktop tomorrow evening Ill fill in the details.

But in the meantime find the 67-72 Chevy Truck forum and start lurking. See the things you like and take notes. That's how I got the look I wanted - you can't believe how helpful those guy are.
