I wish I could have gotten a picture of the "Bull Bar" on the front of this Ute. In case you're wondering, R.M. Williams is the premier Aussie ranchwear manufacturer. Think of it as a combination of Justin Boots meets Wrangler and Stetson.

The funky vehicle in front of the 4Runner is a Wheelchair ramp equipped taxi. Those vehicles look ridiculous and I'll try to get a picture of one.

This Sachs "Mad Ass" is even more ridiculous.

***H-wood, you mentioned on the biker photo something that got me wondering. How do th Aussies take to being photographed in public? Have you seen anyone witnessing your shenanigans and seen a response? Just wondering.

Aussies are mostly OK with getting their picture taken unless you're a creepy Chinese guy with a massive telephoto lens taking pictures of girls in bikinis on the beach.

Most of the cars I take pictures of are parked, or are in front of me on the road. I've had many picture opportunities that I didn't take because there were too many people around and I didn't want to look like some weirdo. Or, I saw an interesting car and somebody was either getting into or out of it when I wanted to take the picture. This guy thought it was pretty cool that I liked the car he was in.



And these guys. Well, they deserved to get their picture taken for burying their rig up to the rear axle.

Here's an Aussie dad fixing up his son's Kart at the Indy 800 Kart Track northwest of Sydney. This track looked very cool and I'll definitely have to make a trip out there to "hire" a kart and take a few laps around the track.

Hmmm....this was such an awesome thread.

BQ is still posting on the politics board and his dad said that he and BQ's mom are heading down under soon, so I'd guess that he is just busy or someone beat him up and took his camera after he snapped one too many pics of the nice looking young lady washer her vehicle.

I've got to close out the last 7 weeks worth of pictures sometime soon. I've taken all the pictures, I just haven't posted them.

I was relatively depressed at the beginning of November between my dog dying and some nonsense going on at work (you know, the classic bit where I do all the hard work that doesn't show up on the scoreboard and one of my co-workers who can't do the hands-on work takes all the glory). Then my uncle died and I went back to Galveston for the funeral which happened to coincide with the 10 Year Anniversary of the Bonfire Collapse. I was so blown away by all the trucks in Galveston County that I was thinking of starting a separate thread for that.

Then I was busy getting the end of 2009 wrapped up at work. In fact, one week, I had 5 days of drinking outings in a row. By the 5th day, I just couldn't drink more than 1 I had to take a trip to Brisbane (to cover for my glory hound co-worker).

Then my parents came to Sydney for a visit. They were amazed that everybody in Australia has heard of Waco (I wonder why?). Then in January, I had to take a 10 day trip to Boston for work, so ... I've been really busy for the past two months or so. I'm planning to spend some time this weekend getting caught up. I know, enough of HollywoodBQ's personal problems, show me some damn cars.

Excuses, excuses...

My aunt, who I had taken care of for a bit, passed on Oct 1, so I feel ya.
