CDC has now issued a statement saying that any event of 50 or more people should be cancelled or postponed.

That is some absolute crazy chit.

Gonna be some very odd instances and complications in this part of the world. Supposedly the pedestrian/foot lanes of the bridges have been stacking up and are way backed up, another crowd making activity.

I'm really surprised this hasn't been canceled. Texas OnionFest in Weslaco in two weeks has already been canceled.

Last week KURV had a well known infectious disease specialist from the valley on the air. He said he is affiliated with three different clinics here. Assured that the virus was here, numerous cases. Problem is limited testing and unless your symptoms are life threatening you will not be tested - exposing others.

Unbelievable that the next day they are promoting the livestock show. Hope I'm wrong as to the severity of our situation down here, maybe the warm weather will help. If anyone hears anything please keep us informed.

So they've now decided to close effective Thursday. Which means they're saying "yeah, we've got an issue but we're going to go ahead and let it play out for a couple of more days."

Apparently Judge Cortez will sign a disaster declaration tomorrow 3/17 which will require the Livestock show to officially stop operations..... But I am told that the RGLS will have up to 72 hrs to comply.
