The regimen at Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch sounds a whole like the Corps at A&M.

I recall going to BR several times as a boy on "field trips". During those years every BR kid had cowboy boots with RR on them because Roy Rogers gave every boy a new pair of boots every Christmas. I suspect pairs in good shape might be worth big $$ today??

The history of Old Tascosa during the Buffalo Boom days after the Civil War is also very interesting. Apparently, it was as wild and wooley as any town in the wild West and a rival of Cheyenne and Dodge City for cowboy and outlaws avoiding the law elsewhere shenanigans. Too far for Judge Isaac Charles Parker in Fort Smith to have jurisdiction.

When I think of "Hank the Cowdog" stories, I think in my mind of Tascosa stories and images as a kid.
