Lots of money in the carnival. For instance, yesterday there were almost 186k people in the grounds. 70k were at the concert, which leaves 116k who bought grounds passes at $25 a pop. Now, not all of them did because a lot badge in and don't need a ticket, but you are still looking at easily $2Million in one day on just entry tickets. Thats not counting another $25 per car for anyone that parked at Astroworld or yellow lot. Thats a lot of scratch just for people to get in the door. That isn't counting food, drinks, rides, games, etc.
Moving it off site doesn't make sense. Where would it go, would you have busses to take people from NRG to wherever it is?

We have Old Spanish Trail parking for this Saturday and Sunday. At the time we purchased, this was the only lot available. However, I have a handicap placard. I know there will be lots of walking but trying to limit the distance as much as possible. Will the shuttle drop us off pretty close to the entrance or should I try to park in a closer lot? Or is there a different lot for handicap parking? TIA

It is funny that you think that is just kids.
The Blue lot which has Handicapped parking would probably be the closest to get you to the gate without having to hop on a Tram, but it was also probably the first to get bought out.

I have an answer for the problem, but it is an extremely racist one for some people and would most likely get me banned.
But, I do agree if under 18 you need a parent/guardian to enter. More police/security that are actively monitoring and arresting would also help. Most of the ones I've seen in years past are just standing around not giving a F about what is going on around them.
While I am on an old man yelling at cloud rant I'd also like to see people turned away at the gate who are dressed in appropriately. I've seen pics online of girls with ass cheeks hanging out of the shorts, etc. For the rodeo who labels themselves as a family event it is disgusting some of the things I've seen worn out there and I dont want my children seeing that in public. Yes I know, wishful thinking on my part.

We went to Kelly Clarkson on Saturday (she killed btw), and the scene leaving was appalling. Crowds are a given, but I was a little surprised to see the area in front of NRG Center covered in trash with overflowing trash cans. Wasn't just food either. I saw at least two used diapers that someone decided to roll up and leave on the sidewalk. I enjoy the rodeo and the shows, but I can't understand why anyone would voluntarily spend time on the grounds otherwise.

I know it isn't just kids. Hell, there was a brawl in The Hideout last night, apparently. Though not necessarily too surprising on Tejano night. The fighters were Laredo Heat.
But the unsupervised kids would be a good start and allow the cops to better utilize their resources for crowd control if they're not having to deal with the ****head crotch goblins as much.
