What was the place that was in a railcar back in the day. It was near Kirby and Main or Kirby and OST?

We used to drive by there on the way to my uncle's house and I was sure that was a fancy place.

This was a place further south going back to the late 70's and early 80's.

Victoria Station? It's the place to be? Seems like that was a jingle on a commercial. I'll have to do some googling.

Story time. I had two older cousins who I looked up to as a young kid. They were older and a lot cooler than me. Among other things, they had a recording studio in their house because their dad was an aspiring musician. (My uncle's brother, Kelly Schoppa, had recorded Amarillo by Morning with Bellaire Records about a year before a young musician named George Strait sang it.) So in the summer of 1996, when I was 10, my cousins pulled me into the recording studio and played this new CD they had by a band I had never heard of before. It was Metallica's Load. That was the first time I ever heard Metallica, and I was hooked. See y'all there.

Underwhelming show. The circle stage was dumb. The 7 towers with screens were way too small.

Least fav show in four trips spanning 30 years (95 Lollapalooza, 97 Summit, 2017 NRG, 2025 NRG).

Set list was Mediocre l.

Never seen them live somehow, so I thought it was great!

We enjoyed the show. I did like the 2017 stage more than this one, but this stage allows them to get more people in the stadium.

I wasn't a huge fan of the screen towers and it created stage obstructions. We were pretty close to one and look up at it they had to be at least 16' tall.

So the train from the medical center wasn't the greatest idea. The line was so long after the show that I ended up walking back to the medical center and I'm pretty sure that was faster.

It was also still 82 degrees at midnight.

Show was awesome though so worth it.

I'm sure it was a much different experience on the floor, but the sound was muddy (even for NRG) and you couldn't see half of those stupid screens from the higher parts of the 100 section.

Idiots at NRG didn't bother with curtains so you got all the light from the concourse.

Unforgettable experience for me!! Snagged a setlist, 3 guitar picks, and was able to get high fives from Zakk, James, and Lars on their way out

I snagged a Metallica - Houston pick in 2017 and felt pretty dang lucky. I couldn't imagine walking out with three.

Have to admit, I jumped about a foot in the air when the pyro went off. It was about 15 feet from my face and hot as ****.
