During the ice storms in the late 80s we would use a boogie board to sled down "hills". You definitely did not want to wipe out feet first lest your shirt got pulled up and icy grass would tear up your top half!

Love how lots of people, even the news, are talking about sledding, but who the hell owns a sled around here? Don't know if ever even been in a store that sells one

Is that 105 demarcation line for the area north of Houston or extend over to the SE? I am not far north of 105 near the Hardin/Jefferson county line.

I've got a pair of ruined skis in my garage...hmmmmmm.tk for tu juan said:
Nail a fold out chair to a cheap pair of skis (water or snow skis). Ski alternative, 2x4 or 2x6 (long side vertical) with the front edge rounded by a sawzall.
Every little league parent already has the chair. Substitute with a portion of a wood fence panel if not

Careful, our neighborhood facebook page will blow up with the Karen's screaming about people having a good time outside... Like those kids riding dirtbikes on the old course last week.jenn96 said:
I feel like I could jerry rig a sled out of something, where I'm having trouble is thinking of a spot walking distance from my house that has any slope whatsoever. I guess I could go try the fairways at the Longwood Golf Club.

You don't need a slope if you've got a car and some rope, C'mon!!
