I remember it well because I nearly broke my arm when I slipped and fell on the icy stairs leading to my girlfriend's apartment during one of those events.

Remember that freak freeze scare in March of 2014? 290 in the morning felt like a bowling lane. One my favorite Houston driving days in memory. Austin had some real problems, but the news coverage kept our roads nice and open. Fortunately, bar and restaurant employees appeared to be just about the only other people in Houston working that day.
