As promised, install was finished today. I supplied the interlock kit from Amazon (bought the one he told me to buy) and everything else he provided. 50 amp and ready to go.
Yeah, when I have "independent contractors" that will do any small jobs around the house and will do any electrical wiring inside the house but always say "I will not touch the breaker box, you need master electrician", I know its not something I want to try to do myself.Red Pear Realty said:
It's ok to pay professionals for their expertise. This one isn't like giving yourself haircuts. In this case, if you don't know what you're doing, a screwup in/around your panel box could burn your house down or kill you or someone else. I've seen well more than my fare share of "I know what I'm doing" and "this will be fine". Everyone is not an electrician.

Reorganized the garage some yesterday...put on some mosquito repellent, opened the door and went to it. No way I'm doing that during the day in July last year.
Might need a bushhog for the backyard, though, when it finally stops raining.
